Symbiote
I was a very active member of YCM say, about Summer 09-10. The community was awesome, and I had a bunch of friends here. I got back on a few days ago, hoping to find some fun in this site that it once had. As I looked through tons of old messages, topics, and stalked friend's profiles, I slowly began to realize that this forum isn't what it used to be. Most of my friends are either gone or had a name change, making them untraceable (if you remember me, please PM me). There were a lot of great members/ card makers and admins who are now gone. Back then, this was my favorite hobby. I loved it. It was like a second family. Almost. Each day I'm on here, I'm hoping I find someone I once knew- but I'm assuming it'll never happen. I was too preoccupied with school, which was why I left in the first place. By looking at my friend's last log-in dates, they left not much later. I haven't been back long enough to know if there's a new group of great people here, and I'm sure there is, but YCM really just doesn't feel the same. I know there's some veteran members here that know what I'm talking about, because I've lurked some threads in which people talk about the "downfall of YCM." I don't expect all the veterans to rush here and we can all reminisce. What I'm wondering is if anyone else feels this way, and what are your reasons for feeling that way? Legend Zero
Apparently, the "downfall of YCM" has been going on since 2007. :S Things change. Its the individual who decides if it is bad or not. People hide behind the excuse of it being "growing up", but I just see it as changing interest. I'm growing up, but don't feel like leaving this place anytime soon.
admins who are now gone. The main purpose of this site, card making...I don't care all that much for it anymore, and I've already taken some steps on moving on from card making (ie deleted my image archives from my Photobucket etc.), and am moving onto getting more serious with the game itself. Î’yakuya
YCM has been starting to lose its touch ever since the forum had changed to this board. Despite new members and such, YCM really does to seem to have lagged in interest and thrive. But maybe it's a sign that we've has our fun on YCM and it's about time to leave. Eventually, this place will die on its own, but it will be going on for a while, and we'll let others have their fun.

I'm not looking for pity or anything, though. So don't call me out on that. Also, which forums are the most active? Non-card making ones, that is. Mehmani
The decline of the forums is pretty simple: less people were joining and staying. We also have competition in the form of the DN forums and Yugico.

Sunshine Jesse
None of the people I really get along with here left, I just sometimes lose interest in this place. I don't think it's any better or worse considering I spent most of my time RPing here.
Larxene
What are you talking about? YCM is exactly the same. See? A lot of members have gotten older and thus YCM is more reserved now. Combine that with the lack of new members coming in and there you have it. Catman25
To make the site at 17, YCMaker must be pretty godlike. But to give him so much criticism when he's trying to live life is unwarranted. That's irrelevant though. Good things never last.

If it's not working, it's his damn job to fix it. I've been away for a while, so I need to ask. How long has the card maker been screwed up for?
