Not-so-Radiant Arin
Tengu Scrap is still a fun deck to play, even if it may be a little bit inconsistent at times. But with the rise of Grandsoil, this Deck might see a little bit more play. Also, mandatory inb4Armz.
Bringerofcake
inafterinb4Armz OT: one of my personal favorite archetypes. Being EARTH and Beast gives them access to the Naturia Synchros, Grandsoil, and Horn. Beast and Chimera make Rank 4s just as easily as they can make Scrap Dragon. Tech a Golem, and all of a sudden you can start making Gottoms and Scrap Twin, which imo is just as good if not better than Gottoms. Also, Scrap Dragon is the real 5th Signer Dragon. Agro
I've seen it topping in the OCG a lot more recently. They've started running Photon Thrasher.

Though, personally, I still prefer Summoner Monk, but that's just me.
-Griffin
Monk is good, and better at pushing an advantage, but Thrasher has the option to be a beater in some situations, and if they Solemn him for some reason, you still can make a Chimera play.
Not sure why they would Solemn a Trasher, but I see your point. Regardless, Monk allows for Dark End Dragon-plays, which pick off Zenmains/Gachis. Hell, you could run both, and then include Black Luster.
-Griffin
I think Black Luster would be really inconsistent. You rarely Synch for LIGHT/DARK monsters anyway. DED plays are indeed cool, and Monk's probably the better option when you remember Thrasher can't be Normal Summoned. Both might still be the right choice if you have trouble swarming, though. Avenging Knight Parshath is a personal favourite card for no real reason, even if it's not on the same level as DED, so I'd probably focus on Thrasher. Also, I guess its all up to user-preference, really, since both are good for the same(more or less) purposes. Now lets take a look at Scrap Golem. The card is amazingly effective as a recovery for someone using Warning on a Scrap Dragon, because it immediately lets you go for Twin, just to add insult to injury. But the problem with it is, Golem is a dead card in the hand for the sole fact hes a level 5, but makes for a hilarious tech in 1s.

I tech Level Eater into Scraps, so I can make him a 4 and just go straight into another Scrap Dragon if I want and have the right setup =D Actually, I've been considering a Lightsworn/Scrap Deck, since they have some great Graveyard recovery. Something like 1 Light Brigade, 3 Lyla, 3 Ryko, 3 Solar Recharge, 2 Duality. Should help you power though your Deck, but I don't know if you'd have any space left for Scraps.
