[Single] Demands of the Dark Scorpions

I've recently been gravitating towards their old-school strategy. It's very fun.
I want to know opinions.

You sure about the removed from field clause? Summoning Chick alone is practically a + who knows how much. I think it should be changed to "when destroyed" just for the balance. It gives you + easily and some insane control, you don't need to give them more power. If you want to make it easier for Dark Scorpion combination, you probably should make another card. Giving 1 card too much power is never good, especially when searchable.

Aside from that, this card is...awesome. All of the Dark Scorpion's problems are solved when this card is on the field. If this were real, Scorpions might actually see some play...

Oh yeah... I was aware of the swarm potential, but Chick's loop just occured to me O.o"
Summon Chick lift Field Spell, warm, Xyz, activate Field again, attack with chick and lift it again to swarm again.
You are right...

I'm going to work on that in a while.

I agree that leaves the field is too generic. Destroyed works.

Don Zaloog support is always cool because Don Zaloog is the best card in the game. I could also see the others as a tiny bit playable with this, but mostly Meanae because she becomes a Gadget with a better type/attribute, maybe 2 Chick and a single Cliff, for bonus Meanae targets.

Still, Don Zaloog. Don Zaloog. The first effect is original and seems like a cool interaction. The second is nice, since I think things other than Don would still be hard to play without it near its current strength. In a dedicated Deck, it would give you a rank 3 and rank 4 Xyz in the rare best-case scenario. Rekindling does that with a lot less effort. Really wouldn't call it broken if it's fixed to 'destroyed'.

I originally planned to make more cards, but Dark Scorpion fanart is nearly non-existant.
The other posibility to use was this image for a card (though then it would have had to be a "pop-culture" card):

Initially, I wanted to just give it the first effect, and make the second effect another card.
I might edit it and do exactly that at some point. I am against having one card do most of the job and the others be crappy without it. It makes the typical "if a Deck cannot operate without X broken card, it deserves to die".

Yeah, but when it's as searchable as a field spell, I don't think it's a horrible thing.

The problem with - for example - Dark Worlds, is that their Deck is basically, "every turn, I attack with Grapha, or Summon Grapha back, or I don't have Grapha and cry in a corner.". Having swing around 1 card is fine if:

1) It's not a consistency problem. A hard-to-search limited card like Dark Armed Dragon is the worst example of this, giving lots of power based mostly on the luck of the draw. A field spell that you can effectively have 6 copies of isn't a problem.

2) The card works to make a large number of diverse plays. Grapha is an example of failing this. All it does is mindlessly return your weaker cards and poke for damage. Your card is fine because you'll probably be doing various things with Dark Scorpions - making Xyz/Synchros, using spells/traps to win battles and get effects, ect. The card just gives an existing Deck the strength to be played, it doesn't totally redefine it's playstyle and force it to focus around the new card.

I'm tempted to suggest some kind of ATK boost for the Field, but seeing as each time you Summon a monster it gains it's effect right off the bat, and would lead to some nice field/hand control.
Also I noticed in the last effect, you have "tartetted" instead of "Targeted". So [i]slight[/i] error in text, and it should all be good to go.
Also, love the artwork.

But it activates the effects of the scorpions, so it technically is more about that.


The revival can be VERY useful, possibly game-changing, a bit too usable with XYZs

I think.

Yeah, the damage is all about their effects. Menae becomes a Stratos, Chick becomes a Compulsory Evacuation Device, Gorg a Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, Don Zaloog a Confiscation, and Cliff is more useful than Breaker in the Deck. Not to mention that their lolmill effects become pretty much twice as fast.
The damage is 400 because their specific Trap "Dark Scorpion Combination" made 400. I wanted this Field Spell to serve as that Trap's replacement, sinse making that Trap usable would probably only be possible if I made broken support.

and Menae can search AND recycle the Field Spell.
