[/quote]The thing is though, it only plusses when used with cards that are already +0 on their own.

If this effect was something like "When this card is tributed for a Tribute Summon or for the Summon of a "Hieratic" Monster..." It'd be fine.

Their concept was pretty fine, having advantage in the form of 0 stat vanillas. Which could have been made in a better way, but they HAD to break it in order to put it at the level of nowaday's game, sadly.

That OP Hieratic as a standalone card, would have been waaaay more balanced than Cyber Dragon back in the day, and more fun to have, IMO.
