Each time a "Six Samurai" monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned, place 2 Bushido Counters on this card. You can remove Bushido Counters from your side of the field to activate these effects.
● 2 Counters: Target 1 face-up "Six Samurai" or "Shien" Effect Monster; that target gains 500 ATK until the End Phase.
● 4 Counters: Add 1 "Six Samurai" monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.
● 6 Counters: Target 1 "Shien" Effect Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target.

Guy at anime club today said he ran Samurais on DN, and that it was funny when someone left a duel of his, the instant he dropped This card.
To be fair, if Samurais weren't so herp-derp, this card wouldn't be so rage-inducing. So I can see why someone would leave.
Also, he tried to defend this card, implying it wasn't overpowered.
If you take into consideration, the fact Samurais are loaded with self-Summoning effect, and how this card not only mooches off that, and basically turns them all into Stratos(it basically does); Gateway is basically Black Whirlwind on steroids.
So yea, I found it funny when someone didn't acknowledge they run a broken deck.
Discuss.

Samurai are far and away my least favourite Deck in this format for a number of reasons-

- They're a bit of a 1-trick pony and can't really do much if Shi En is Warninged etc.
- They require next to no skill to win quite a few of your games. I once lost 2-0 to a Samurai player who thought Shi En negated Warnign and negated my Foolish Burial with Shi En when I had 5 in hand.
- Cards like Gateway are just ridiculous
- The deck's totally based ons sacking and can't do much if it doesn't open good turn 1
- Shi En is a real pain in the arse to get over

That one Six Sam that can return monsters to the hand during either turn is also BS.

Not really. Since Sams have literally no way of getting stuff out of Banish Zone without outside help Enishi actually has a cost.

I remember seeing people who said this card wasn't good to run in Sam's.... He single handedly killed 90% of the faith I had in the players of this came.

Sam's are a nusance, but one I can deal with being in the format. I'd rather play against Sam's than Fire Kings or Atlanteans if I'm honest. And yes this is broken given Sam Spam.

My format pretty much puts them in their place, making them a bit lackluster and FORCING them to involve more skill plays rather than just herp derp swarm, especially since you either run this or you run Shi En, but not both. In the current meta though, they're still posing several design flaws....I'm thinking of comparing these guys as an outdated Spellbook Deck from the past...

Except it's spells are actually monsters and the monsters are actually spells.

Sams are fun the first 5 or 6 duels when you overpower anything that can't kill shi en turn 2. But then you face decks that are actually GOOD like agents, merlanteans, and chaos dragons, and then they start to fall apart. I don't like them because they overextend the crap outta themselves, and if their defenses rupture, you lose. Guaranteed. They're just stupid to play.

I hate how someone tries to defend a Deck that they know is broken and should be hit by the hammer.

Like, you don't see me parading around "Don't ban Hyperion, it's not broken" because I play Agents, or "Don't ban Dragoons, it searches out Moulinglacia" because I play Mermanteans. The fact that Hyperion can topdeck relatively easily and turn a duel around in one go makes it stupid beyond comprehension, and being able to search a 2800 beater that can drop 2 cards from your opponent's hand is stupid. Gateway does the exact purpose of what it's supposed to do: piss your opponent off to no end. No one wants to see that happen, not on DN, not anywhere in real-life, and that's why this thing needs to go.

Anyways, aren't the first and third effects hardly ever used?

Swap its ability to remove counters from the field, to only counters from itself
Make it Once-per-turn
????????
Profit
And make it so that you can only control one at a time.
