Blackwing - Kochi the Daybreak

[center]I always liked Kochi, but it's heavily underrated - everyone knows Kochi as a card that was heavily bashed on. But times have changed, and Xyz monsters now play a significant role in current gameplay - being able to SS this using Shura allows for easy Rank 4 plays.[/center]

the way the condition goes, it would make you think there suppose to be a blackwing Xyz monster

I actually always liked the card, even without the use of Xyz Monsters, but I think people didn't pay too much attention to it mostly because almost every Blackwing that came out after the original (Shura, Bora, Gale) was pretty much crap, with the exclusion of Zephyros. But, overall I think that Kochi really does have potential, the only two cons to it being that it takes up necessary space which is hard for Blackwing, considering that as a deck it plays 3 copies of almost every card (or at least it's so in my experience), and the second con being that it's basically a dead draw if you have the bad luck to draw it first hand or even worse later in the game. Of course, it can be used with Gale or Blizzard, but it's dangerous to draw him in the middle of the game, especially if you've wasted most of your good cards/combos.

You can bring it in off Shura to make Scrap Dragon/Stardust/any Rank 4 or normal Summon it/Bora for the same thing.

Pretty neat, I think.

if you bring it out with Shura, you'd only be able to Xyz with them as Kochi's restriction is a condition.

Shura into a Rank 4 is pretty cool to be honest.

Unless you have Icarus Attack or enjoy -1 Synchros with Bora, this card is not useful on its own. Even if it's a Shura target, 9 times out of 10 I'd prefer to grab Vayu.

However it's searchable with Whirlwind from Vayu and its DEF is occasionally useful.
