Sora1499
It's the only ice barrier synchro to evade the list. This + Salvage = Raigeki Feather Duster I don't think it'll warrant list attention even with merlanteans because they don't make this all that much. Anyways, discuss.
Not-so-Radiant Arin
Dewloren has a loop, and Trish and Brionac are completely stupid. This one is actually perfectly balanced, and it's because of "once per turn", really.
mido9
EVERY TIME i try to summon this with a marksman in hand hoping to hit a backrow or summon it into backrow they always activate it on gungnir.

And Trish gets looped way too much. @Gungnir: Iirc it's actually pretty difficult to make Gungnir without spending resources, only fullproof way is to Deep Sea Diva > Infantry > Marksman and Synch that way, but then you just wasted an Infantry and Marksman, which are the only 2 Atlanteans that actually trigger from being ditched besides Dragoons. Sure you could use Attack Squad, but it's pretty meh honestly.

ihop
Controller + Spike/Dragoons is pretty legit. But this is totally balanced, it just has a really good effect. Well-designed card.
Miror B
there's genex controller + abysspike
Yes but Abysspike doesn't get Special Summoned much at all in Atlanteans, and if you're talking Mermails then idk why you're playing Genex Controller. And I'm pretty sure Mermanteans has way too much stuff to be able to fit in a 5 card engine.

Any good Mermantean Deck will play 2-3 Linde, 2-3 Sphere, 3 Undine, 2 Controller and 2 Spike. I dunno what weird builds you've been seeing. Sora1499
I usually make this with controller + abysspike... I have done diva -> infantry -> marksman, but that's only when I don't have any other options or I have salvage in hand.
newhat
Combos with Abyssgunde if you choose to use her. Also helps make Gaioabyss when you need to deal with Inzektors.
