Double post problem

Zazubat

Question

So I figured, what would make double post simply disappear so we won't have to deal with it is making it so you can't post a minute or two after you post, that way you wouldn't be able to make such a mistake. I don't know if it should be simply for replies, or if threads in general, though it would make mods job a lot easier. What do you think?

Double posting never seemed like much of a problem to me. In fact, I'm pretty sure if you post two or more times in a row it just adds it onto the post you already posted.

If ya'll really want a prevent post flood thing I guess that can be arranged. It used to be zero seconds. Now it's 15 seconds.

Sometimes it doesn't seem like it even starts loading the comment.
What I do is copy all of what I wrote for safety, and refresh the page. Most of the time the comment goes through.

^if that helps at all.

I started doing the same when I kept double posting things a while ago, and most of the time it is posted like you said. This is what everyone should do instead, just use your head. If you keep clicking post after getting no response, in all likelihood when you finally do get it through you'll have the same paragraph 9 times.

It's more a problem with threads really, as those don't just stack up in themselves, which would be nice so there wasn't so much spam. And I know that it does just add it to the other, which is nice, but I still sometimes get it. I also try not to click it if it didn't appear, and refresh the page to see if my post is there (copying the post of course so I don't lose it) so it fixes that, but really it shouldn't be something you needed to do :/ Guess I'll have to live with it. Just like zits. Sigh.
