Rock/Xyz/Effect

2 Level 4 monsters
During either player's turn, when a monster effect is activated on your opponent's side of the field: You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card to target 1 face-up Effect Monster your opponent controls; while this card is face-up on the field, that target's effects are negated and it cannot change its battle position.

Uh, I believe it's name is Bro-F--

Also, I forgot to mention this, but the first person to mention Falcon Punches, Bro-Fists, Facepalms, High-Fives, Thumbs-Ups, or anything correlated to hand movements/gestures is getting a sword stuck in their eye balls.

OT: Eh, seems mediocre at best.

Wasn't this run in the top OCG Decks?

I'm not sure what to think about this. It's a Rank 4 with 2 Materials, which gives it a ton of competition from other Xyz. Its stats are a mere 2000/2000, which isn't that good for a Rank 4.

You can only use the effect when an opponent's Effect Monster activates on the Field, which...makes it pretty conditional. Then you detach both Materials and target any faceup Effect Monster the opponent controls, which isn't bad, at least. But as long as this is out, the effect is negated and it can't change Battle Position.

And this is where I feel it fails. It only negates the effect while Giant Hand is faceup, and with those stats, that won't be very long. And it only prevents changing Battle Position, not attacking, so if the monster you're negating has over 2000 ATK, it's going to be able to kill this and be able to use the effect again. Giant Hand also has ZERO element of surprise, unlike Veiler or even Trap Cards.

Unless it gets a Chaos Number that's decent, I dont think this will see play much. Its competition for slots is too fierce, its stats are underwhelming, and its effect seems absurdly easy to work around, and only mildly inconvenient.

This card gives the middle finger to Rabbit decks.

No, it doesn't.

Rabbit dodges it entirely by leaving the Field as a cost, so while Giant Hand can negate something when Rabbit activates, it wont be able to affect Rabbit itself.

It could negate Laggia, but Laggia has 2400 ATK, and can run over this. Dolkka just snickers. And if you try to bring this out while Laggia's out, you're wasting your resources.

I've got to hand it to them. They really are giving the regular Numbers, and the people who want to see them the middle finger with all these Chaos Xyzs and Over 100 Numbers. Someone really needs to point them in the right direction so we can see more regular Numbers. On the other hand, maybe when Gilag loses, we'll see less of random people using RUM Barrian's Force, since he's been the one who's handed the victims Barian's Force to begin with. This thing may be a handy card to have on hand in Rock Stun, but its not really that scary of a boss monster. I suppose the Chaos Number version will be armed with a nuking and burn effect. I'm guessing this will come out in the TCG with the pack after LOTG, since I don't think there are any Xyz Monsters in the pack that have yet to be revealed.

Also, thats 8 puns right there.
