2 Level 8 DARK monsters
Must be Xyz Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card and send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard to target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; change this card to Defense Position, and if you do, negate that face-up card's effect until the End Phase.

I dont care much about the name change. Number 22 isnt important to me. Probably because it's a Rank 8 that needs DARK Materials, and the only Rank 8 Decks I've used focused on LIGHT, like Galaxy-Eyes or Hieratics.

4500 ATK is ridiculous, but the fact it has to switch to DEF when it uses its effect helps, since its DEF is not nearly as good. The effect is also pretty cool, being a Quick Effect that can negate any opponent faceup card for the turn.

From the wording, you can chain this effect to an opponent activating an S/T, and will negate it.

Why? Is Grapha no longer playable or something?

That overlooks what "limiting its playability" means in this context. Grapha is playable and can make this. What else can?

If only one or two Decks are even capable of playing the card without jumping through hoops, the card isn't very playable. Dark Worlds can run this, although they're trading 2 monsters each with 2700-3000 ATK for a 4500 beater that becomes extremely fragile when using its effect, but is worth it because of Grapha's self-revival.

So the card is easy to make in Dark Worlds, albeit probably unnecessary most of the time, but almost all other Decks can't.
