Legend Zero
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can activate this effect; apply as many effects as possible, based on the number of "Spellbook" Spell Cards with different names in your Graveyard. You can only use the effect of "Reaper of Prophecy" once per turn.• 3 or more: This card gains 600 ATK.• 4 or more: Add 1 "Spellbook" Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.• 5 or more: Special Summon 1 Level 5 or higher DARK Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck.Actually got my favorite Prophecy as my Tarot. :
newhat
Can't Summon itself from the hand, can't use its last effect off of Temperance, requires significant setup. I don't like it.
Darj
Card looks fun, and I like its artwork. Just by reading it I want to make a deck around him someday. If I remember correctly, players used to run a copy of Delg before this was released, so it was like a godsend for Spellbooks. Then more Spellbooks were released, and I believe Reaper is not used anymore except as a tech and in dedicated Decks. It would have been nice if this and Destroyer had been Level 5 so Empress would be more playable (rather than relying on silly combos with Hermit, Oracle, Tricky, etc. to Summon her). But looking at Empress' effect and at the trend of running Prophecies with 75%+ of the Deck being Spellbooks, I think those two being Level 6 was actually a good call. Sora1499
Divine Judgment makes it more playable, along with its Destroyer counterpart.
Love of Ghibli
I think he has his own build with fool and destroyer. I want to learn how to use it.
Lonk
Yeah I prefer Destroyer over this, with the unmentioned reasons being that this card's effects are a bit overkill, and that unless if you are using Fool of Prophecy, tends to be dead (for me at least). Aix
I think he has his own build with fool and destroyer. I want to learn how to use it. Yeah, I've used it. It's just around 20 or so Spellbooks plus Reaper, Destroyer, Fool and Spellbook Magician.
Bringerofcake
I honestly both love and hate Spellbooks simultaneously. On one side, they have the ultra insane search-everything-summon-Junon-Win decks, but some of their less...good support actually does support Spellcasters to an extent. Reaper, for example, is a member of the second camp, minus the less good" bit.
