PaladinCards
I was inspired by the duel between Bakura and Yugi, so I made this card. Feel free to critique. LORE: This card cannot be played unless there is at least 1 "Dark Necrofear' in your Graveyard. If there is no "Dark Necrofear" in your Graveyard, destroy this face-up card. As long as this card remains on the field, you can use your Monster Card Zones as Spell and Trap Card Zones (If there is a Spell or Trap Card in a Monster Card Zone, that Zone cannot have a Monster Card in it while there is a Spell and Trap card in it.) Once per turn during your End Phase, you can write down the name of one of your opponent's Monsters on a piece of paper without letting your opponent see it. That monster will have a Secret Spirit Counter on it (only 1 Secret Spirit Counter can be on the field at a time.) If your opponent attacks with the Monster that has the Secret Spirit Counter, negate the attack and deal half of that Monster's ATK as damage to your opponent's Life Points and add that amount to your own life points, then take away the Secret Spirit Counter. If you choose another Monster for the Secret Spirit Counter at your next End Phase, the Secret Spirit Counter transfers to that Monster. If a Monster with the Secret Spirit Counter is destroyed, you cannot place a new Secret Spirit Counter on the field. Destroy 1 Monster you control at your End Phase or destroy this card. If this card is destroyed while there are Spell or Trap Cards in your Monster Zones, destroy those Spell and Trap Cards.
Sleepy
That's an interesting approach to it. I like the writting part of the effect, but don't have it make counters, counters are always visible when you put them on cards. Also, I think it's too wordy.. let me try to cut down on the text, possibly without altering the effect (except I won't add the counters). Can only be activated while "Dark Necrofear" is in your Graveyard. If there is no "Dark Necrofear" in your Graveyard, destroy this card. You can use your Monster Card Zones as Spell & Trap Card Zones. Once per turn during your End Phase, you can write down the name of 1 opponent's monster on a piece of paper without revealing it. Once per turn, If a monster with that name declares an attack: Negate the attack, inflict damage to your opponent by half of that monster's ATK, and you gain Life Points by that amount. During your End Phase: Destroy 1 monster you control or destroy this card. When this card is destroyed, destroy all Spell and Trap Cards in Monster Card Zones. I think the writing down aspect is quite innovative. But, based on what knowledge of Konami there is, I would say that you'd need not to specify what you write it on. I mean, yeah, Konami does have some promotional tokens, but in truth anything can serve that role. I therefore conclude that you needn't specify that you'd use a piece of paper. It'd cut out a fair chunk of the text (possibly making it more legible) and, consequentially, making it seem more realistic. Here's a fix based on the argument I portrayed: Can only be activated while "Dark Necrofear" is in your Graveyard. I think I meant to also cut that paper bit down, but missed it at the end. Thanks.
