Number Negative 3: Spellbound Dragon

This is the fixed version!!! Woo-hoo!!

 

 

 

3 Level 5 monsters

Once per turn you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card: place 2 spell counters on any face up cards on the field. This card gains 200 ATK for  each spell counter on it. Once per turn you can remove 1 spell counter from this card to destroy 1 card on the field. During the turn you activate this effect, your opponents takes no battle damage from battles involving this card.

As a 3-material Rank 5, it's actually competing with Volcasaurus, which destroys a monster and burns for a huge amount in the process, and it can still attack, but not directly.

 

For a 3-material of such a Rank.. err well, it IS a Number, so Limited Varian's Force can bring it out, and it can destroy Spell/Trap Cards too, but I still think Volcasaurus wins.

Let's start with the name, I would stay away from making 'Negative Numbers'...unless those are actually a real thing, I am not well versed in the recent anime, but to me it sounds tacky and cheesy and is just an all around turn off for the card. Try Number 3: Spellbound Dragon instead, it is more relatable and not nearly as cluttered. For names, it is best to stick to simplicity and emphasis. Moving on to the picture...quite frankly it is terrible. Don't get me wrong, that dragon is badass in Teen Titans, but here it is just a screenshot from a TV show put into a card. It isn't very 'Yu-Gi-Oh' and is another turnoff from the card. At the end of the post I will provide a few links to find better pictures. Now, if you want this card to support Spell Counter cards, don't just let it place Spell Counters on itself, allow it to put them on other cards. Try something like this: 'Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material Monster from this card; Place 1 Spell Counter on any face-up card on the field.' and honestly I would suggest allowing it to put 2 Spell Counters and if you do then the effect should read like this. 'Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material Monster from this card; distribute 2 Spell Counters onto any face-up cards.'...or something like that. As said above, you are competing with Volcasaurus with this card, so I would suggest adding to the destroy effect. 'Once per turn: You can remove 1 Spell Counter from this; Destroy 1 card on the field. Effects or cards cannot be activated in response to this effect.' This adds a little more leeway. And instead of getting rid of attacking all together, perhaps make it so that any damage dealt to your opponent by that card this turn is reduced to 0.

I see, cool! like i said, the guy was born in my head as i watched the episode, so all i did was make the card the way it was born, without any changes. i knew the image wasnt the best though XD still thanks, ill get to work on it

 

also, i made the negative numbers bit because since there are so many numbers still being made, i didnt want to interfere with that so i added negative in the front. i knew the name was a bit odd but i just didnt find anything else to replace it with, since after all i am a huge numbers fan.

 

ill rework the card and post it again :D

Don't worry too much about interfering with cards that have yet to come out. You can't control that, and no one is going to judge you too harshly on that. Glad to see you are willing to become a better card maker. Can't wait to see the edited version of this card.

fixed the card!! changed the image, name, fized OCG, and changed the effect. not completely but partially.

You probably didn't need to nerf the ATK gain, but its still fine.
