Northern Sage
Quick-Play Spell Card When another player would receive effect damage: Halve that damage, and you take damage equal to the same amount. At least they are on equal grounds when it comes to the terrible plot devices… Discuss.

Northern Sage
You make a lot of threads Oh, this is nothing. The amount of cards in this episode was average.
evilfusion
Good god, why does the anime use so many cards like this in Zexal? Yuma already uses cards like Half-Unbreak, Damage Diet, Desperate Guard, etc and it seems almost every other character runs at least 1 card that negates or halves damage, like Kaito's Battle Simulation and Kuriphoton. Effect Damage is overused badly in Zexal. 5Ds was also pretty bad about it, with cards like Gatling Ogre, the Temporal Machine Gods, any card Aporia used, and Speed World 2. But in Zexal, it seems practical for characters to run anti-Effect Damage cards because everyone uses them a LOT, and all the anti-Effect Damage cards are more absurdly conditional than the ones before it. Obviously, this card is only for tag-team or Battle Royal duels. It's worthless 1 on 1.
Airride
Reminds me of a card I once made. ... Except it wasn't nearly as bad.
Sleepy
It's funny that Damage Diet is actually one of ZeXal's best damage protectors... or rather "sad" is the word I'm looking for. Back in DM's time, I heard Anzu call Waboku "a very powerful card"... and compared to most damage-reducing effects from all other shows... I believe it. At the very least, in IV's deck that somehow desquilified Shark, and idk if it was Rio's or Ryoga's but a recent flashback picturing little them had it.
