OP'd. Severely OP'd. A simple SS clause, the ability to up it's level for moar Synchros/Xyzs, and an ability to reduce effect damage; all neatly rapped up in a level 3 EARTH monster. Needs some changing to be balanced. Try working with one of the concepts instead.

When i made this card, i wasnt thinking of its use for syncs and xyzs; althought it could be useful. But, its effect is a counterpart to power giant; ive used power giant before and i definitely dont use that for any syncs or xyz's. I would agree in the aspect that its op'd however as power giant isnt op'd then this shouldnt be either. I always have used power giant as a stepping stone for a tribute summon; imo, there are much more op'd cards in real life that havent been banned yet or limited "as much" for that matter (and some of those dont even have costs; whereas this one does).

 

 

I think i may need a second opinion O.o  before any fixes

On-topic, the most I can see in this is discarding a Gadget to make Big Eye with Burei. Usually though, you would have to make this Summon itself while you have a low-Level Tuner for a Level 7-so Synchro, while Decks that aim for the Xyzs that this could make are probably not going to have very many low-Level monsters for this to become a Xyz Material for. And even if it could, the whole "You lose a monster" cost does a number on your card advantage, which makes this meh in the same way Power Giant is. The effect damage negation seems completely random since you wouldn't want this card to be battling about anything.

Dafuq? A -1 with a very, very, very, situational chance for avoiding damage that is triggered by player interaction is OPed?

 

The only place that this could be used for Xyz would be in Elemental Dragons, but they don't really need this. It's likely to be too high-level to Synchro Summon with. It's really unoriginal as well and actually doesn't have synergy with Power Giant. It's useless. How to fix this? Well you can't without utterly changing the card and adding unrelated effects or greatly increasing the ATK, so there really isn't a way to remedy this situation.

The card isn't useless, though. Sure, it's not game breaking, nor utterly unique, but does it have to be? Especially in a section that is devoted for Realistic Cards, which by all means, this card is.

 

OT: You could technically get away with just changing the effect to not taking any damage, at all, whether it being effect or battle damage.

It's isn't the fact that the effects are going to completely obliterate your opponent, or anything like that. It's that, for me at least, this is OP'd relative to it's level. A level three monster that sure, may be a -1, but encompasses effect damage negation, a Special Summon, and a level change, felt like too much in a card of this level. Maybe it's just me, but I think low-level cards such be simple and balanced. This doesn't need all of these effects, relative to it's level and use.
