Level 5 monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Materialfrom this card; this turn, face-up "Ninja" monsters you control cannot bedestroyed by battle or by card effects.

Sure, he's not as good as Volca, but he's still a good card. disc.

Volca has more priority, because he does additional damage that could potentially win you the duel.
Shadow Armor, despite the fact I wish he had slightly more ATK, is still a good card regardless because his effect, basically, makes him invincible for a turn.

Invincible to do what with him?  Tiras is also invincible to card effects, so this basically just protects itself from battle, and if it's going to die by battle that turn, then having the card out is basically useless other than a dumb wall.  I personally think that Tiras outclasses this in all fields.

Tiras is unaffected by card effects? Such is not true sir. He simply can't be destroyed. You can easily D-Prison or Compulse Tiras. And Tiras' detaching is mandatory.

Prefer this imo

This can't be destroyed in battle which is the main advantage, plus you can choose when to activate it so you need to use it only when you need to. I'm not saying it's better than Tiras but it's the 4th Rank 5 on my list.

It's good based on situation. If you're using Ninjas, he's godly because he protects them all.

On its own, it's a solid wall, being immune to battle and destruction effects. Tiras can't be destroyed by card effects, but the real power of its effect is the ability to destroy cards when it battles. Volcasaurus destroys monsters and burns. It's the best based on damage output. Tiras is a solid attacker that destroys annoying cards, and Crimson Shadow is an offensive wall.

It's always a great card in my level 5 and higher only deck for turn 1 plays, almost completely ensuring I have a monster on board at the start of the duel, and if you manage to get the right hand he will remain on the field for quite some time past turn 1. However, he is one of those cards that you can only play when you're at the advantage/even ground or you absolutely must play it, so it usually doesn't get put in the extra deck.
