Aix
This is nothing new, but anyway: Emotions are just chemical, hormonal reactions. We may well be nothing more than a really advanced computer with designated reactions to stuff that happens. What do you think of that? How do you feel knowing that everything you feel is simply a result of a chemical?
Zazubat
This is nothing new, but anyway: Emotions are just chemical, hormonal reactions. We may well be nothing more than a really advanced computer with designated reactions to stuff that happens. What do you think of that? How do you feel knowing that everything you feel is simply a result of a chemical? No. But that is my brain saying this. But is it my brain saying this? Do I have say in what I say? I would have, otherwise how would I be able to write, "I hate my brain"? I think that our brain is more complicated than the brain itself knows, and that we can truely never understand the brain. I don't think an emotion is something we can control, but something we can manipulate.
Aix
Yeah, it could be manipulated. You could get injected with happiness or any other emotion.

BehindTheMask
And then you realize that you are just made up of sub-atomic particles, in fact your whole life is dictated by the movement of these particles in the vast universe. Then you realize that you aren't yourself, but in fact the whole universe and everything is interconnected.
Cin
Nothing new there. There's already plenty of things that mess with emotions like anti-depressants (boy can they put you through the ringer when you first start taking them).
~ P O L A R I S ~
"Emotions are just chemical reactions"? As in "a-bombs are mere a-bombs"? What about being chemical reactions renders them insignificant?
