The Card That REALLY Wants To Be In Evilfusion's Deck (Radiant Light Emperor Galaxion)

Recommended Posts

So by detaching 2 Materials, you get Galaxy-Eyes from the Deck? This is still significantly harder to accomplish than Galaxy Expedition, as the most likely combo that will bring this out is SSing a Thrasher, and then reviving a Thrasher with Galaxy Zero or similar, assuming you don't run Crusher as an excuse to bring this out.

The only perk to this over Expedition is you can SS Galaxy-Eyes in ATK position instead of DEF.

We need more good Level 4 Photons to justify those Summoning Conditions. But to satisfy the nagging of a wannabe Galaxy monster, I suppose I do have space in the Extra Deck for mediocre Rank 4s, considering the current build I use doesn't run a lot of Level 4 monsters, so aside from Photoknight, most of the Rank 4s are movable. It's at least an OPTION in a pinch, when Photoknight isn't enough.

I'll take a moment to muse over the fact that more people seem to be gushing over its effect than the resident Galaxy-Eyes fanboy.

Urgh... just start giving Photons/Galaxy a way to make +'s please. I'm tired of +0 moves at best, short of LaDD, Knight and Staples.

The effect if I'm understanding card maths right is still only +0, and it's one the deck doesn't need at all. The only decent level 4 Photon is thrasher, followed by Crusher. This would give a mini incentment for it to be used, but it doesn't change the fact that's to situational for the deck to really to warranty running Crusher... As has been said earlier, the effect would need to be godly to justify it.

If it wasn't Photon Specific it would be great, but there will rarely be situations where if you could make this or Paladus, why you would make the former. The deck already brings Galaxy-Eyes out better than this.

I figured the two detach was either going to be from the Deck or Graveyard. Only makes sense, though it does mean that unless you really need it in the deck or you drew into your last one you will never activate its first effect.

If you really wanted to be technical, you could do a bad play with Photon Satellite and one of the Level 3 Photons.

That's true, Satellite works, but that means you're running the Level 3 Photons, and while Sabre is pretty good, it's not needed in the majority of Photon Decks.

Photon/Galaxy have always suffered from weak card advantage issues. The meta decks tend to get massive boosts, whereas Photons are balanced. Most of them are +0 effects, or even -1. The ones that offer advantage use your Normal Summon (Caesar, Wyvern, Knight) and require Tributes or field presence. Their support is very good, but not on the level of meta decks.
