Lavalval Chain

I'll just use Verz as an example since I've been playing them more recently:

1. I don't have that many good topdecks outside DAD.

2. I don't really want to dump a monster into the Graveyard

3. Topdecking a card doesn't help if the opponent can kill me beforehand, making Ophion and that Beetle much more important targets.

So really, I just don't see the need to run it when I can run a card I'll more than likely need to go into at one point or another.

Honestly, it's only useful in a deck that needs it for an OTK, to topdeck their goddraw, or dump cards in the Graveyard.

Most meta decks this format don't really need that (Prophecy, Evilswarm, Constellar, E Dragons, Mermails)

I know uses exist, such as the fact that I've seen Dragon Noir/Hopeless Draon run it, but I rarely have use for it.

lol you don't understand them. i just love it when people think they understand the deck and don't

I just love it when people play decks that are completely detrimental for the game, then act like they're superior for it.

I know it's not all loops, and the only loop you'll generally be doing is Hundred-Eyes loop, but even then... where's the skill?

All you do is abuse the same few cards over and over. There's no skill in that.  Knowing what to search is hardly "skillful".

If you feel they're so skillful, name the reasons.

Infernities are incredibly skillful, albeit fucking stupid.

<HED Loop

hahaha no.

also, you have to think turns in advance, know when and where to use your barriers, remember long ass combos, and mostly play on the fact realising that if you lose your field presence you lose. it's extremely risk/reward, it makes sense that the deck with the highest risk gives you the biggest reward once you can play it right. also, it being detrimental doesn't mean shit, even though it isn't. if shit is broken, i'll abuse it, kthxbai.

stupid in a cool way though, you have to admit, watching someone play infernities is really cool

Think turns in advance? You mean consider "x card lets me go off, any other card and I scoop." Yeah, so much skill involved there. Barrier is one of the most simple cards in the game to use. Memory is not "skill". If you lose your field presence in yugioh in general, you tend to lose, this is a tempo game, not necessarily one of resources. High risk/High reward is an abysmal justification for a deck, and if anything goes to show how little skill goes into a deck. With consistency comes skill, with inconsistency comes dice rolls - Quite the opposite effect. High risk by definition is either an easily halted, or inconsistent strategy; Infernities fall under both.

If shit were broken, you could abuse it, but Infernities are shite.

...

you pretty much proved exactly why you don't talk about infernities on an internet forum: it's bound to be full of people who don't actually play the deck. If you have to scoop because you didn't draw what you wanted you suck at the deck, harsh truth. I've won with a opening hand of 6 monsters, multiple times. Barrier may be simple to use, but using it correctly is a different story. By think in advance, I meant that: Your field presence is everything, more than any other deck, unless you have multiple barriers or another backup card, you have to think about what to actually use it on. "if i barrier this and (s)he has heavy/hole i basicially lose, so do i let this go on the grounds that i'll be able to negate that card if (s)he plays it, or do i negate that and run the risk?"

Also, Infernities(if built right) are not inconsistent as you seemingly say they are. Unless I'm some godmod and been able to atleast set-up in almost every game I've played in 6 months.
