Judαs
2 Level 7 WATER monsters While this face-up card has Xyz Material, Level 5 or higher monsters cannot attack. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent currently controls that have less ATK than this card, until the end of the turn. No one probably plays Mermails anymore, but this card is actually quite good. It's winning me duels. :
Strider Tigerwolf
There are several mermail players at my locals...about half play this and it wins them games.
Wildflame
They are still a very popular deck, as far as I'm concerned. And this, while being inferior than Big Eye or Drago Sack, it can be a huge pain, especially with Tidal and Squall now in the deck.

Sora1499
This is best used when you have solid advantage and want to watch your opponent squirm, and its effect is quite potent. However, this would have been much better last format, due to the top decks nowadays being E-Dragons, which don't care about it, and Spellbooks, which don't care about it. However, it's still pretty good against fire fists and constellars.

Judαs
've never seen any Mermail player go into Gaios. I see more Big Eyes Well Big Eye and the Phantom Plane really wouldn't help me much considering my opponent had Centipede, Dragonfly, Hornet, Sword and Giga-Mantis all ready for use the next turn. ihop
I've never seen any Mermail player go into Gaios. I see more Big Eyes It's part of Mono-Mermail's consistant opening play. Big Eye is obviously used but Mono-Mermail nowadays can open 2 7s so consistantly on the first turn, I'm pretty sure Teus + Dragoons will do it quite easy and first-turn Big Eye is lame and I'd rather make this than Drago-Sack plus Drago-Sack doesn't exist. Most Mono-Mermail builds play at least 1, normally 2.

Though that begs the question of why you'd be running SLR in Mermails but shut up, I'm making a point.

It's a one-sided skill drain on a solid 2800 body, whereas Drago-SAC only gives you the security of having it on the field next turn and still allows your opponent to make their big play. -Berserker-
I considered using this in Fish, with Coelacanth and Gungnir. The thing is, I can go into more useful stuff. The fact that it prevents 5+ from attacking, and it generally requires you to run lv5+ monsters to summon it is something that got my attention the first time I saw this. Of course, that fact is present and does affect its playability somewhat.
