jabber2033
Before Mermails were a thing, I thought that maybe this could come back. Maybe. Now? HELL NO!
Kingdom Xathers
No "Once-per-turn" clause means Synchros out the culo for Merlanteans. 'Tis sad... it certainly would have had a (small) chance at returning were it not for the Mermails/Atlanteans being conceived.
Toffee.
See, here's the main problem with this card~When it first came out, it was fine. Ridiculous, but not over-the-top stupid, since more often then not you had to play this through Seaking, to which, required a few cards to get going right off the bat. Then from there, you basically -1 from the Hand to keep Synchroing with this card(You only had 3 Formulas, shoosh).THEN LIBRARIAN BECAME A CARDAnd it all went to hell. You would generally +1/+2/+5 per Synchro, etc, with shenanigans with Librarian/Formula.Then this went to 0.Years later, Atlanteans and Mermails became a thing, and were the final nail in Blaster's coffin. The end. Sora1499
If it were "Once per turn", then it might be able to come back.
Wildflame
Still more balanced than E Dragons.

Fishborg Launcher was proof my itself, but Archer sealed it. Still more balanced than E Dragons. Any one card is going to me more balanced than an entire decktype. Airride
One of countless cards that was broken due to lack of once per turn.
Cute Rotten Yoshika
Any one card is going to me more balanced than an entire decktype. that doesnt even make sense. and plenty of cases can be made for the opposite: BLS is less balanced than crashbugs. -Berserker-
This is the first card I have ever abused at the time of it's ban. Going double Quasar plus Trishula and drawing your entire deck including Exodia all in the first turn was fun, except the opponents got bored after 15 minutes and didn't stay to see me win. Also that loop sounds cray cray.
Resident Fascist
cray cray. Oops, wrong Cray. Anyway, this topic is clearly going to generate a lot of discussion :/ This is why we shouldn't be allowed to post topics on cards that are forever b& imo. 玄魔の王
that doesnt even make sense. and plenty of cases can be made for the opposite: BLS is less balanced than crashbugs. It makes perfect sense. A single really good card can do some damage on its own but has nothing to back it up; a deck with synergy can support individual plays and accomplish more than that one card. Take the Atlanteans away from Abyssmegalo and he's suddenly not a very strong card anymore. Even BLS needs a deck that can set him up. Fair example though, so I'll rephrase for clarity: any viable, competitve decktype is going to be more unbalanced than any single card.
