It's not just about which decks top at big tourneys, it's about the card game as a whole and how fun it is to play. For example, if a certain retarded loop/ftk/winmoar card/etc exists and degrades the enjoyment of playing the game, then that card(s) should be hit accordingly. Konami's meta = money attitude has probably contributed to your mentality of "if it doesn't top, it's fine". Yata loop probably won't top, but it shouldn't exist because it degenerates the game. For those who don't know the meaning of cube, it's a preconstructed booster draft. So my friend made the cube with the idea of plain derps, including plenty of banned and rightfully banned cards. So my deck ended up with this. And Feather Duster. And Imperial Order. And Macro Cosmos. And Royal Oppression. And Plenty of stall cards. So I ran a shutdown deck with no win condition. I had fun! Never got to me The only reason your deck was good was because of Opression and Order. Raigeki is no where near one of the best cards in cube. And that I had all the shutdown cards honestly.
