Blake
Number 65: Judge Buster the Adjudicutting Djinn Rank 2/DARK/Fiend-Type - Effect, Xyz/1300 ATK/0 DEF 2 Level 2 DARK monsters: During either player's turn, when a monster effect is activated on your opponent's side of the field: You can detach 2 Xyz Material from this card; negate that effect, and if you do, inflict 500 damage to your opponent. Number C65: Judge Devil the Adjudicutting Demon King Rank 3/DARK/Fiend-Type - Effect, Xyz/1600 ATK/0 DEF 3 Level 3 DARK monsters. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 face-up monster your oppomnent controls; that target loses 1000 ATK and DEF. If this card has "Number 65: Judge Buster the Adjudicutting Djinn" as an Xyz Material; it gains this effect. • Monster effects cannot be activated on your opponent's side of the field. THE PUN. IT BUUUUUURNS @_@
Cute Rotten Yoshika
dark materials means no frogs merlants or agents. which is honestly a good thing. judge buster got nerfed hard which is a shame though.
Jord200
Glad its not generic, but yeah. They nerfed Number 65 too much..... Again, great artwork, garbage effect.....
Airride
If this card has "Number 65: Judge Buster the Adjudicutting Djinn" as an Xyz Material; it gains this effect. • Monster effects cannot be activated on your opponent's side of the field. Wut. Ok, yeah, DARK really hurts, but still. This is...really cool. I'm going to make Dark Mist Judge.dek now...
Wildflame
Yup, nerfzorz. And 0 DEF, lolol. At least their artwork is badass.
Cute Rotten Yoshika
well, that means the only decks i can think of that can reliably make this are new ones (ghostrick and malicevorous). ehhh. thats okay.
TheKaitoKid
More negation Xyz... of course. Easiest way to bring it out might be Malivorous. The CXyz is really good though Runs over Ophion and the likes and the Skill Drain is nice too. Oh! and they're Djinns so they benefit from Temptepo or Maestrokes protection. Canopy Star - Eon Sphere
Strange for a Rank-Up monster to have its detach effect as it's primary and its continuous as it's secondary. Eh, at least it doesn't suck too bad. The Number itself, however, is terrible. I'd only run it so I could Rank-Up it. Malicevorous with Spellcaster Engine, anyone? 玄魔の王
Judge Buster got sacked by this nerf. It did not need to be 2 Materials when its ATK is so low, its DEF is 0 and it has material restrictions. If they were gonna do that, they should have at least made it "opponent's monster effect" as an Honest or Dandylion breaker, or given it the full 1000 damage from 2 anime negations. At least it is a Fiend, which means I can Rank it up into Dark Storm. Which is good, because Judge Devil is way too weak. It needs to be 1900 minimum. Also, it went from preventing activation AND negating effects to just preventing activation, so continuous effects still work. I'm utterly disappointed. ~British Soul~
To be honest, I kinda think that the nerf on Number 65s eff is unnecessary, they could've just nerfed the materials and be done with it, but noo.. they had to nerf its effect too. Toffee.
C65 is flat-out awesome.Regular 65, I kinda' saw the 2-Materials part for his effect coming. Though, I find it amusing how he needs DARK monsters.
Wildflame
Hmm, I suppose I could tech it in my Norito/Saimon deck that runs Apprentice Magician, Magical Undertaker and Gagagas.
evilfusion
Number 65 needing DARK Materials made it virtually unplayable. The nerfed effect wouldn't be as bad if it was generic, because at least then you could use it with Frogs and similar purely for the potential Rank-Up into C65 or C96. C65 is meh. You'd be better off using Rank-Up Magic into C96 even if you're using Number 65 as the Xyz. The ATK and DEF cut is solid, but not worth 3 Level 3 DARKs (but is any CNumber worth its "default" Summon Condition?) so you're probably using Rank-Up Magic. The secondary effect is okay, but it's so weak on its own that it probably won't last long.

evilfusion
The answer is yes. I said CNumber, not CXyz. Although your point remains valid.
