I only really main 1 anymore. The other 2 are for when I play against some deck that has Macro, Skill Drain, etc.

Mostly, I haven't had the need to really destroy their cards.

I miss the "must save" nature it has in Goat Format, and back in the day, I was mind-blown that this outclassed De-Spell so badly xD

Might be just me, but is anyone else getting tired of people opening with 2-3 of these?

Also it's a running gag on DN that this card negates everything.
Discuss.

It's just you. And the people you play against on DN are probably all sub 500 rating so it's no wonder you run into people who think it can negate everything.

I rarely see this card even run in the main anymore at the top level. It's mostly a side card now.

yeah, I kinda miss when it was at 1 too. now people just blindly throw it out cause they know there will be no repercussions. They'll just draw into the second one.

So blindly MST'ing, only to have your opponent chain Abyssphere or Fate to flip down Batel or Infection to get a Kerykeion is without repercussions? Drawing a second one isn't going to change the fact you just took a -1 or made a sub-optimal move. Blind MST'ing against most decks can always have bad repercussions.

Card really has no business being on the list (and should especially NEVER be limited). Konami got it right.

As of late, I find this card to be extremely useless this format, since there are more cards in each deck that do a better job than this card does (Yes, it's Speed Spell 2 S/T destruction, but that won't win you a game in a general situation, would it?).  It's just that it no longer works for me anymore.

I agree, if anything Night Beam is worse because that really does have no repercussions and is a really cheap and simple play. MST requires some skill that you know when to MST so you save your MSTs for annoying continuous cards such as Macro or Gozen Match. Cards like this lock down the game and it's only fair that you're entitled to some sort of out to it. It also creates the best mind game ever if you set MST only to have your opponent Sphere in End Phase or you keep it in hand and then they play it on your turn.

>Implying people give a shit about ratings.

As for the card, there are times when I don't even add 1 in, in more dedicated builds. It can be handy, but I've come to realise that I use it for the sake of it. Better than Night Beam, though.
