OpticalGalaxyStar
So, one day I was sitting at home watching TV, and nothing good was on. Then I decided: "Hey, what am I doing here? I'm gonna make a Yu-Gi-Oh! card!" So I got to work. This card was the product of my boredom. I give you...Fearless Hero! (Version 1.1) (Effect Pending :D) Lore: When a monster on your side of the field would be destroyed: You can Banish 3 cards from Graveyard; That monster is not destroyed. So anyway, I was hoping to maybe get a little feedback on this card. Please tell me how I did and how I can improve this card! Thank you, -OpticalGalaxyStar
宇佐見 蓮子@C94
Umm...I was actually kind of looking for some criticism here...I get that you think that Fearless Hero is awesome ( :D), but could you maybe further analyze the card and maybe tell me how I could change it? Thanks. :) YOU ARE MY FAVORITE NEW MEMBER EVER A new member that wants CnC? Thank Odin, Zeus, Thor, Osiris and any other god you worship for this marvelous bounty. Thank you! *ahem* Because you want some Criticism instead of some "awesome card" butt-licking, I'll give you that criticism you want. The card is, at first glance, rather weak, as people would rather keep their assets in the Graveyard instead of the Banished pile. However, because it lacks a Once Per Turn clause, a bonus effect that protects destruction by battle as well, I'd say it's not that bad. However, this card seems to appeal more towards anti-meta because again, Meta decks tend to keep their stuff in the graveyard. But, it's not good anti-meta since most anti-meta rely on preventing cards to even hit the graveyard, so that means that the deck has no particular decks it's worth running in. My final verdict is this; the card is not all that good, but it doesn't have any problems either. It lacks meta-presence and somehow feels a bit weak, at least to me. It may be better if you just reduce the cost to 2 cards, then again, my main issue is what happens after all your stuff is Banished. If you don't run a Banish deck, you're pretty much screwed unless you topdeck Reborn/Dark Hole/Any Elemental Dragon. I do have a question though, does his effect apply to multiple monsters as well? Because if it doesn't then it's much, much much weaker.
When a monster on your side of the field would be destroyed: You can Banish 3 cards from Graveyard; That monster is not destroyed.
Hmm...what do you mean by multiple monsters? Anyway, I think I'm going to increase FH's ATK to 2300 and his DEF to 1900. Also, I'm trying to decide whether to make his effect activate by sending 2 cards from the top of your deck, or discarding 2 cards. Any ideas 'bout this? EDIT: Posted revised card. Also, I'm trying to decide whether to make his effect activate by sending 2 cards from the top of your deck, or discarding 2 cards. Any ideas 'bout this? EDIT: Posted revised card. Check it out, please! I think that could be a start, but wouldn't initially makes this much better. You still have to tribute for it. In today's meta, tributing cards is a joke. It's so rare to find tributing besides in a Frog Monarch Deck. If you really want this card to get in play, you would have to give it some Special Summoning effect (ex.: "You can Special Summon this card by banishing 2 other cards in your hand" or "You can Special Summon this card by paying half of your Life Points" though not that these examples might not be the best to use). What worries me about this card is that not many people would want to tribute for it. It doesn't quite fit into any decks unless you have some Warrior-Type Deck and it cannot be a generic that well since tributing is bad. As for the effect, I like how it blocks destructing by banishing from the grave but it doesn't seem so fit for a monster that isn't so generic. I would like to see this kind of effect in a Trap or Spell Card. Hope this helped a little...
