Recently discovered virus is considered a global threat

A death in France has been reported. Deary me. France is just, you know, next to the UK. Blast.

Double blast. Actually, there was a death in Birmingham last year. Genuinely seems dangerous as a virus. These things escalate each year, unfortunately.

I'm not really one that likes vaccinating people for everything, but if it can actually kill people...

GET ON THAT.

I suppose I am protected partially by the Atlantic Ocean, but with planes existing and all, it can spread quite easily.

...well, like anyone from this forum was going there anyways.

I'm going to transit in Abu Dhabi for 4 hours for my Europe trip later this month :/ Well, realistically I shouldn't be infected, but I'm gonna carry as many antibiotics and masks as possible.

Having played Plague.inc makes the scare factor multiply tenfold for me.

On a more serious note, I REALLY hope they get some immunizations for this thing real quick.  Before it spreads to the States.

...cause the lives of the people of said States are more important than the rest of the world. Or, are you really that inconsiderate?

Nonetheless, tis yet another thing that will do a lot of damage. Maybe this will do to Cancer what it did to AIDS & HIV. I'm gambling on no.

A lot of people come to the states, whether it be for tourism, business, moving, etc. If the disease comes to the states, it could reach Canada, Mexico and/or South America and that could make it a worldwide pandemic since its already spreading in the East. So, like he said, hopefully it doesn't go overseas.

Is it bad that I went to the comments, then watched the video. Also, best thing I heard all day:
Having played the iPhone app "Plague Inc", I can tell you that they pulled the mortality card too quick. This doesn't have a chance of doing any damage... much less infecting Madagascar or Greenland.
