PrimeAceJohn
So this is my first time on Pop Culture. I used to like Pokemon so much then I got kind of over it and I'm trying to get myself into it. I worked all fucking day on this so Reps would be VERY much appreciated.
This is a different type of cards (like Gemini, Toons, etc.) which is "Pokemon." The Evolutions, although they have the Fusion Template (cuz I don't know how to insert my own Pic as the background), they are NOT Fusions, as you can see, they are "Evolution" but they have normal card levels, types (like Aqua, Thunder, etc.) and attributes. Evolution monsters stay in the Extra Deck. So the whole point of these cards are to get through there evolutions, which could be done with "Evolution" OR "Evolution Arena" Every 1st Pokemon of the Evolution Chart is a Normal Monster and when they get with "Evolution" they literally evolutionize.

So this card is what gets the Evolution out: Select 1 face-up Pokemon Monster you control and reveal 1 Evolution Pokemon in your Extra Deck Pile with the selected Pokemon listed in its Evolution Matarials: Send the selected monster to the Graveyard and Special Summon the Evolution Pokemon revealed by this effect. Once per turn, you can banish 1 Pokemon sent to the Graveyard by this effect and pay 1000 Life Points: Add this card to your hand. You can only activate the effect of "Evolution" once per turn. Sorta' like Poly. Here is Evolution in a Field Spell: Once per turn, you can pay half of your Life Points and select 1 face-up Pokemon Monster you control and reveal 1 Evolution Pokemon in your Extra Deck Pile with the selected Pokemon listed in its Evolution Matarials: Send the selected monster to the Graveyard and Special Summon the Evolution Pokemon revealed by this effect. When an Evolution Monster is summoned, you can shuffle the Evolution Materials used to summon the Evolution Monster into your Deck.

Charmander "Charmander" When this card destroys your opponent's monster by battle: Inflict direct damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the destroyed monsters DEF.

Squirtle "Squirtle" Once per turn: You can inflict 1000 of direct damage to your opponent's Life Points; then draw 1 card. This card cannot attack this turn. "Wartortle" This card is also treated as a Sea Serpent-Type Monster anywhere. When this card is sucessfully Evolution Summoned: Destroy 2 set card on the field. When this card destroys your opponent's monster by battle: He/she must banish the top 2 cards of his/her Deck. "Pidgeotto" When this card is Evolution Summoned: Flip all set monster cards your opponent controls (Flip Effect are negated). When this card attacks: It is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's Spell and Trap Cards.
You can discard this card from your hand: Draw 1 card. If the card you drew was a Pokemon Monster, you can reveal it to your opponent: Special Summon the revealed monster.

Okay, I know what you're thinking: 'wtf did you do with the template'? I honestly LOVE with all my heart Zextra's and liavcol's templates, but the picture I found for 'Eeveelution' is sooooo sexy, I just had to use it. For Sylveon, I don't have an Xyz Pokemon Template so I just used that.
I will make more if I get enough liking of it. Tell me what art you like. I also might do some requests if I like the idea. Thanks

liavcol
I like those cards. It's so great that even though they are based around an anime/manga you didn't took some random scenes from the anime as the pics for the cards and you found good enough pics that can be used on a real card, so very good job! About the Pokemon monsters, what is special in those? I think you should put the Pokemon monsters as the types (instead of Winged-Beast for example) because all of the secondary types written on cards bring new game mechanic for the game and I didn't saw any new game mechanic in here. About the Evolution monsters: This idea makes me laugh (not in a bad way) because I thought about this new game mechanic a while ago but didn't post it anywhere. The new monsters I though of are very similar to yours (and I to took inspiration from Fusion monsters) except that my monsters called Advence. I was inspired first by the Masked HEROes because they are Fusion monsters, but in order to create them you need only 1 monster, so I put them as that:

I hope that you can notice that it isn't my Fusion layout but a new layout I created for Advance monsters. After I transferred those cards into Advance I took some other monsters that are "advanced" versions of other monsters but found in the main deck (such as Colossal Fighter /Assault Mode) and made them Advance monsters found in the extra deck:
*Don't notice the "Knight HERO" in it's name, I'm just a huge fan of the HERO archtype and I made the Knight HERO archtype based on the best Warrior-type existing monsters :P
Bottom line: I love your idea and I just wanted to show you mine :D. Keep the good job and I hope you won't mind explaining me what I asked about the Pokemon monsters.

Keep the good job and I hope you won't mind explaining me what I asked about the Pokemon monsters. Thanks so much XD About the Pokemon stuff, I wanted them all to be different. Cards that are just Pokemon-Types don't make the cards versatile to cards like Icarus Attack or Tour Guide, I wanted them to be different. I also did this because they will lead to spells I might put out soon. For example, I made one called "HM02: Fly" and its effect says "Target 1 level 4 or higher Winged Beast-Type or Dragon-Type Pokemon Monster you control (etc.)" meaning that only this kind of Pokemon can fly because, logically, Dragons and Birds (Winged Beasts) can fly. This would thwart my idea if I said "Target 1 Pokemon-Type monster you control" because, in the Pokemon world, not all Pokemon can fly. This is the same reason why I gave them Yugioh Attributes. Hopefully you can see as what I am getting to. I tried making this set as real as possible.
liavcol
Oh I see what's your point though I started using a second type mechanic I sew on AOC like this:

If you'll use this you can easily make the card you talked about goes like this: "Target 1 level 4 or higher Winged Beast-type or Dragon-type and Pokemon-type monster you control (etc.)" I think it is better than creating a new secondary type that does not add a new thing to the game. Think about that...
PrimeAceJohn
Although I do like the idea of making 2 types, I don't think I can. The Pokemon thing I did is basically like Toon, Gemini, and Spirits. I wanted to add another one to this. Plus, it sounds much better like "Destroy 1 Winged Beast-Type Pokemon Monster" because its simple and gets right to it. But thanks for the suggestions :D
liavcol
I know what your meanning and it's cool but I suggest that you'll give all Pokemon monsters a new eff because all the examples you gave have a somewhat new mechanic: Toon monsters are always destroyed if Toon World is destroyed and they can attack the opponent directly unless the opponent have a Toon monster too and Level 5 or higher Toon monsters can only be Special Summoned by tributing the number of monsters needed to be tributed normally and only while Toon World is on the field. Gemini monsters always treated as normal monsters while on the field or graveyard and have to be Gemini Summoned in order to become and Effect monsters and get their effect. And Spirit monsters cannot be Special Summond and are always return to the hand the turn they were summoned or flipped. Those are all treated as new game mechanic. Anyway because I love your work, I will soon start making a layout especially for Pokemon monsters (as I am making layouts for all secondary types monster :P) I would like if you'll help me to make the layout :)
PrimeAceJohn
Um I barely know photo manipulation. I use Zextra's Template for GIMP. I only know how to edit some stuff, but if I was a genius at that stuff, I would definitely help.
liavcol
I don't really need any help in doing the layout, just some ideas of how would you like it to look (colors, a pic on the background like of the Xyz monsters)? This is your idea after all :)
PrimeAceJohn
Well sure, why not! Well, for the first evolution Pokemon cards, (the normals), I kind of wanted like a Pokeball summoning the Pokemon, if you can get what that means. For the Evolutions, I wanted it to have some sort of white, cool light like what happens when a Pokemon evolves. But if this is too much, I can TOTALLY understand. Zextra is also making me a template but I guess I could use both.
liavcol
I will try making what you wanted for the Normal Pokemon monsters as for the Evolution monsters, I don't really know how to make it and they seem to me exactly like the Advance monsters I made so I would have use that template (of the Advance monsters...) EDIT: I made something but I don't know if it's good, something about it bothering me... anyway take a look:

Tell me if you like it. If not, tell me way and what should I change...
PrimeAceJohn
No no, this is great! I like it a lot, it's perfect. And as for the Evolution Monster Template, it's fine. I'm just grateful for this.
liavcol
Oh I forgot, how do you want me to give you the template? If I'll upload a pic of just the layout without artwotk nor text and Levels/Attribute it would be good? Or if you want, I'll make you any Pokemon monster you want, I would love to do so for you because then I'll have a collection of Pokemon monsters :D

You can only activate the effect of "Evolution" once per turn. lore fix: Target 1 face-up Pokemon Monster you control and reveal 1 Evolution Pokemon in your Extra Deck with the selected Pokemon listed in its Evolution Materials; Send that target to the Graveyard and Special Summon the Evolution Pokemon revealed by this effect. Once per turn, you can banish 1 Pokemon sent to the Graveyard by the effect of "Evolution" and pay 1000 Life Points: Shuffle this card into your Deck. You can only activate this effect of "Evolution" once per turn. review: Sounds decent, if the evolutions are worth getting out, (which they should be). Its usefulness depends on what it can summon. When an Evolution Monster is summoned, you can shuffle the Evolution Materials used to summon the Evolution Monster into your Deck. review: Half your life points is too costly for 1 summon, even if its for a field spell. I'd say lower it to 800 or 1000. my recommendation: Once per turn: you can pay 1000 Life Points to target 1 face-up Pokemon Monster you control and reveal 1 Evolution Pokemon in your Extra Deck with the selected Pokemon listed in its Evolution Materials: Send the selected monster to the Graveyard and Special Summon the Evolution Pokemon revealed by this effect. When an Evolution Monster is summoned, you can shuffle the Evolution Materials used to summon that Evolution Monster into your Deck.

Charmander Charmander's seems fine, not much to say about a normal monster unless its got too good/very bad stats. "Charmander" When this card destroys your opponent's monster by battle: Inflict direct damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the destroyed monsters DEF. lore fix (ignore the hyper links): When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and remains on the field: inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's DEF on the field. review: Seems ok, the effect is decent and fitting for a Fire type pokemon, but not too powerful. Also, the clause "and remains on the field", deals with a ruling that all the monsters that I know of with this type of effect have that states that if the monster is destroyed during the battle (if it battles a monster with equal ATK for example) it can't use the effect. "Charmeleon" This card is also treated as a Dragon-Type Monster anywhere. When this card destroys your opponent's monster by battle: Inflict direct damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the destroyed monster's ATK. lore fix: This card is also treated as a Dragon-Type Monster anywhere. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and remains on the field: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to that destroyed monster's ATK on the field. review: A bit more ATK couldn't hurt, maybe 3300 or 3500? You do have to evolve something twice to get it out. The concept is solid however.

Squirtle review: *insert charmader review here* "Squirtle" Once per turn: You can inflict 1000 of direct damage to your opponent's Life Points; then draw 1 card. This card cannot attack this turn. review: This seems a bit excessive, I'd say change the effect to be just damage but its fine if it can still attack a monster on that turn. my recommendation (ignore the hyperlinks): Once per turn: You can inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. This card cannot attack your opponent directly during the turn you activate this effect. "Wartortle" This card is also treated as a Sea Serpent-Type Monster anywhere. When this card is sucessfully Evolution Summoned: Destroy 2 set card on the field. When this card destroys your opponent's monster by battle: He/she must banish the top 2 cards of his/her Deck. lore fix: This card is also treated as a Sea Serpent-Type Monster. When this card is successfully Evolution Summoned: Target 2 set cards on the field; destroy those targets. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and remains on the field: Your opponent banishes the top 2 cards of his/her Deck.

Bulbasaur *insert charmander review here* "Bulbasaur" When this card is targeted by an attack: You can switch this cards battle positon and the monster that attacked this card loses 500 ATK and you gain 500 Life Points. lore fix: When this card is targeted for an attack: You can change this card's battle position, then that attacking monster loses 500 ATK and if it does, you gain 500 Life Points. review: Leach seed I take it? Decent concept, and good execution. "Ivysaur" This card is also treated as a Dinosaur-Type Monster anywhere. While this card is face-up on the field, during each of your End Phases: Gain 500 Life Points. While this card is face-up on the field: Other Pokemon Monsters you control gain 500 ATK and 1000 DEF. review: kinda underwhelming for a double evolution. maybe its stat boost should also effect itself, but that alone won't be enough to make the summon worth while. Maybe some kind of effect based on the pokemon move solar beam in addition to its other effects?

Pidgey stats are a little low, but not a big deal because pidgey is here mostly to evolve, not to battle. "Pidgey" When this card attacks: Decrease the ATK of all your opponent's face-up monsters by 500 ATK. review: this card seems decent, but the ATK drop should expire after a while. Also, what part of the attack does this take effect in? my recomendation (note that an effect that modifies ATK can't be used on face--down monsters to begin with): When this card declares an attack: Decrease the ATK of monsters your opponent controls by 500, until your next Standby Phase. "Pidgeotto" When this card is Evolution Summoned: Flip all set monster cards your opponent controls (Flip Effect are negated). When this card attacks: It is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's Spell and Trap Cards.
lore fix: When this card is Evolution Summoned: Flip all monsters your opponent controls face-up. (Flip Effect are not activated at this time). While this card is attacking, it is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's Spell and Trap Cards. review: Sounds and fitting good to me. You can discard this card from your hand: Draw 1 card. If the card you drew was a Pokemon Monster, you can reveal it to your opponent: Special Summon the revealed monster. review: something tells me that you should add "The effect of Jirachi" can only be used once per turn." just to avoid some crazy draw loop that someone might think of. Very underwheming, since the only pokemon that can be summoned this way are unevolved pokemon which are not much of a threat on their own. This effect needs to be better to be useful. I'll give suggestions as to how if you want them, but I don't want to hijack your design so I won't give any unless you want them. I will make more if I get enough liking of it. Tell me what art you like. I also might do some requests if I like the idea. Thanks *catches breath* comments are in the quote
PrimeAceJohn
Thanks for the review. A lot of these cards are very under powered, like charmander and such, but my main goal here was the idea, I didn't give too much into the Meta. I wanted Charizard to be at 3000 because it was a nice, sold ATK choice + it's effect would make it to overwhelming, Wartortle's effect will change. The point with Pidgeotto is it's like Pidgeot: they flap their wings against their opponent in some way. Pidgeotto flaps its wings to bring back the other monster's ATK, Pidgeot blows cards face up. For Jirachi, I will definitely change the eff. I made that effect because I made much more Pokemon Support this past week. I made a card like Onix, level 6 Normal with 2400 ATK. Drawing a card is like having a "wish."

Zextra
By the way, Zextra's template is really amazing !!! Yours is quite well-done as well, though, as you said, the proportions don't match up with my original template, so that's where the problem originates from. Anyways, I think it's nice that we both used the same concept for the Pokeball templates; and John uses them very appropriately (perhaps mine is too flashy for use with a vanilla, teehee). Oh, and just a note to John, when you use my Pokeball template (as in Jirachi), it's probably best not to use the gold rare from my original template file, since it's less crisp and of a lower quality than the one that's built in on the new one. :p

UPDATE ON CARDS: I know I left it for a while, but I PROMISE I I was working so hard on them.
