DARK/Machine/Effect

Target 1 "Gimmick Puppet" monster you control; destroy it. This effect can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon up to 2 "Gimmick Puppet" monsters from your hand.

1200/2000

This'll be one of the new stuff that IV will use in his tag duel with Shark, that's for sure, and it doesn't need to be mentioned but we know its TCG name will be Doom Troy.

discuss.

pretty much. it doesnt help with making your plays not each up advantage. it just makes them "faster"

Well, yes, hand Summoning is always kind of meh, but it is still "up to 2" and Gimmick Puppet decks can gain cards quite fast, since the Machina build can produce a ton of cards for them. Oh, and after use, you can always just use it for Doll's effect.

the deck already has a million ways to throw monsters from the hand onto the field. it needs something that gives it any form of long term consistency beyond necro.

I thought Trojan meant to infiltrate the opponent, I must read up on my history then.

It refers to Trojan horse, which was used to infiltrate the opponent. But based on the Trojan Horse, it's a method of using a decoy of sorts to infiltrate the opponent.

Edit: The definition I found is:

Noun
 1. A hollow wooden statue of a horse in which the Greeks concealed themselves in order to enter Troy.
 2. A person or thing intended secretly to undermine or bring about the downfall of an enemy or opponent.

To which this fits. When it leaves the Field, you bring out Gimmick Puppets, and it has the ability to kill itself at will.

That's a stretch I would say, I still don't see the connection to be quite honest (besides the picture maybe)

You know, if This didn't miss the timing with Twilight Joker, it could end up as something pretty incredible.
I mean, as far as Gimmick Puppets go.

I don't think it misses the timing.

Twilight Joker activates when a Gimmick Puppet dies by battle and goes to the Graveyard. This card activates when it's sent to the Graveyard. Both are optional Trigger Effects with the same timing. This will activate as Link 1, Twilight Joker can activate as Link 2.

Oh, it's the same as Gadgets + Kage.
Silly me...

Regardless-
This card promotes shenanigans on the Opponent's field with things like Torrential.

I think it may also be a pun on "destroy". Might be overthinking. If that's the case, then its Number 20 all over again.....

OT- Looks interesting. Not bad. Not bad at all. Though it would be better if it was Deck.

It is, actually. "Death Troy" and "destroy" can be rendered with the same Katakana. That's why this one uses Kanji when none of the others do.

It isn't a stretch at all. ._.
The Trojan Horse is a tale from the Trojan War about the subterfuge that the Greeks used to enter the city of Troy and end the conflict. In the canonical version, after a fruitless 10-year siege, the Greeks constructed a huge wooden horse, and hid a select force of men inside. The Greeks pretended to sail away, and the Trojans pulled the horse into their city as a victory trophy. That night the Greek force crept out of the horse and opened the gates for the rest of the Greek army, which had sailed back under cover of night. The Greeks entered and destroyed the city of Troy, decisively ending the war.
This thing brings your main units from your hand to the field, similar to how the Trojan Horse allowed the Greeks to sneak their forces into Troy.

OT: Absolutely meh. I wish it said Grave instead. :<
