I just watched this episode, and Gauche used this card. I wonder if we will ever get anything like this.

Equip only to an Xyz Monster. Its Rank is treated as its Level instead. If the equipped monster is used as an Xyz Material, you can treat it as 2 monsters.

It could be balanced. It of course shouldn't have double Xyz Material, that's just what the anime seems to do a lot, it shouldn't be able to go into itself again, should only be allowed to activate once per turn, maybe another cost or condition. It could work

It allows some silly things like Steelswarm Roach -> Ophion, Daigustso Emeral -> Chidori, or Utopia -> Excalibur. There may be other non-generic monsters worthy of note that become a bit more generic with this, but I'm a bit tired right now.

 

The most notable part about it right now is that you can basically tag out your Xyz Monster for something else, which potentially reduces the danger of some plays. It would also make drawbacks, such as #50's, pointless. However, I feel more ok with it since it takes up a card, as opposed to Gaia Charger, than I do about Gaia Charger. Doesn't mean I feel entirely ok with it, but eh.

Part of the reason why we are unlikely to get this, is because it screws over game mechanics.

The OCG version would say to use this as the other Xyz Material. And no, this must not come out. Used-up Tiras suddenly becomes most Rank 5s, including Pleiades.
