Temtempo the Percussion Djinn

Recommended Posts

It's starting to gain my interest, is it any good, should I side it, and where would you run it?

2 Level 3 monsters

Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 Xyz Monster your opponent controls; detach 1 Xyz Material from that monster, and all face-up "Djinn" Xyz Monsters you currently control gain 500 ATK.

It has a habit of poking at some Xyz, and can really annoy someone attempting to use a 2-Mat Xyz that requires you ditch both materials (not often occurence, but very funny). Otherwise, it's just there to be a lone poke unless you feel like defending it.

You could tech it in any deck that runs Tour Guide.

Taking an Xyz material of an opponent can be a big difference, specially versus Laggia (not that they'll just negate Tempo's summon) or Ophion.

Being a quick effect means you can steal a second material during your opponent's turn, even during their draw phase. You'll leave one of their monsters without ammo and you'll have a 2700 beatstick.

If you run Tourguide you shouldn't be teching it, it should be the next card you run after Zenmaines. Having said that it's not as good anymore because cards like Zenmaines, Maestroke etc. aren't used as much, nor do people end on big Xyz fields like Wind-Ups did. But I'm sure it'll find its way back into the meta before long.

I still use Maestroke a lot actually.
