When your opponent inflicts damage to your Life Points gain 500 Life Points. When this card destroys an opponents monster gain 800 Life Points. AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW Posted August 17, 2013 Report Share Posted August 17, 2013 Not being able to be killed in battle is nice-ish, even though we already have Marshmallon, Spirit Reaper, and several other cards who have the same thing. I suppose that this one's advantage is that it's Level 4 and doesn't have a self-destruct mechanism like Gellenduo, and no way to bypass it like Obnoxious Celtic Guard. Still, it's pretty meh. Then we get to the second effect, which is pretty small and would only soften what blows your opponent makes at you if they for some reason kept this card on the field (probably only if they just didn't have enough removal effects), but it's also not really good. Finally, it's a Soul of the Pure when it kills a monster with its weak 1400 body. You won't come across many monsters that this can destroy in battle. This card's ATK needs to be much higher. For a Life Point gain card, this card's ATK can be 1900 or even 2000. This allows you to be more likely to gain Life Points off of its effect, an amount that I think needs to be raised. You probably wouldn't like the suggestion to raise it to 2000, so I suppose it'll be adequate enough by giving you 1500 when this effect goes off. For the middle effect, you could also raise that to around 1000 or something. Effect destruction is everywhere these days, and gaining 1000 every time you take damage won't keep you safe for long. That's what I suggest to improve what you already have for effects and stats. When making something, think more about what this card works with, and how well it does these things. Right now, the most favorable monsters usually focus on being able to bring out boss monsters rather than serve as Life Point gainers. This could work with Chain Dog to make Rank 4 Xyzs, but there are other Level 4 Beast-Type monsters that can too. If you want this to be ran, it needs to help you win (via getting out your win conditions), rather than help you not to lose. The latter can be made, but they have to do a good job at protecting you, amidst the effect destruction and fast-paced damage dealing that exists. So you are saying my card is op? The other guy said it was underpowered... How about I boost up the attack to 1600 and then you can use one of the MILLIONS of ways to boost it higher if you need to! And what about if I change the effect to if this card deals battle damaga to your oppenent (which is what I meant to do in the first place :P) Sound good guys? Also, make the 500 into 400 for a small difference in the long run, so that it is safe when combined with my other suggestion^. I think the card is good. It's stats are actually ideal according to me. -It's searchable -It is not affected by Bottomless -Low ATK allows it to trigger it's effect more easily. -Cannot be destroyed by battle, no one should expect 1800+ ATK there. It still doesn't have a full deck going for it, but it does have some pieces ready. Life Point gains are one theme I'd like to see bloom well. This guy has Horn of the Phantom Beast going for it, so you'd gain small chunks of Life while you draw. Hearing of the possibility of an aggro Life Gain deck actually makes me exited. It also has Honest going for it, and Uniflora can always bring it back. I'm not sure what else it has going for it right now, but if this were real, it'd be a good start towards a Life Gain theme.
