In keeping with the current theme, what are your political positions and what political party, if any, do you associate with?

I personally am fairly indecisive and don't think there's any clear right answer, but I tend to drift more towards fiscally liberal policies and am fairly split on social issues.

I am very, very far in the right, fiscally and socially. One could even dub my position as in the lunatic fringe. I often look to various, powerful leaders of countries across human history. Why should I look at any other idiot for influence besides those who are strong enough to impose their personal will across entire countries? People like Caligula and Stalin are often criticized for how they were, or even Mussolini, but they are some of the more popular examples that let people understand my beliefs more easily.

I don't know what kind of liberal drivel would believe in supporting the poorer through redistribution of wealth when it is clear that it is the person's problem if they were not intelligent enough to find work for themselves and their families. Of course, I also believe in the truest idea of disturbing corporations less than other institutions, where even the others are only lightly touched, if ever. There are no women to be hired for work, as they must stay home to take care of them home and is obligated to produce another child should her husband command it.

Of course, the social content of my ideas are as glorious, intelligent and agreeable, if not more so. If the state learns of any treason or slander of anything relating to our wonderful state, they will be abducted at night and either killed or left to provide manual labor in a very isolated, heavily guarded and exclusive factory. They will certainly never receive contact with outsiders again, and those who talk to much in there or find banter in important situations silly will receive execution in the facility that all are obliged to witness. We all know we don't need traitors infecting our country, so the state is glad to eliminate those gangrenous excuses for citizens. Only men aged twenty-one and above may vote, as any other demography is scientifically proven to be incapable of abstract thought nor making decisions in which an adequate mind is required. Our state will control what the newspaper and radio, among other things, would say, in order to stop groups of brainwashers from spewing lies across our country.

I'm pretty much a drifter as far as politics go. every party has good points in some areas, but they all either present them horribly, or they present the ones that are wrong more often. the entire gridlock in congress is due to both major parties being stubborn, and while the right is the initial blame in the stalemate, the way the left handles it leaves much to be desired.

Politics should not be people arguing like idiots over who's lining their pockets more, it should be people fighting better the lives of everyone who lives in their country. but going into extreme detail is best when not done on a whim so I won't do it.

That's a mighty fine plate full of sweets you have there. Good thing I'm smart enough to not fall for this trap. :3

This I can agree with. History has it's notoriety cut out for it, but what people refuse to see is the real leadership and charisma that those leaders had before shit hit the fan. Hitler is another guy that stands for this example: He was one of the most powerful leaders in the world, nearly claiming all of Europe for his rule. But then bigotry and racism kicked in, triggering his orders to rid of the obstacle. As morbid and tragic as it turned out, in the end, Hitler ended up reaching his downfall and fixed the problem by taking his own life. The aftereffects lingered into irrelevance as time passed.

As for me, I'm but a pinkie's width left of being pure neutral. My family's Democrat, which is what made the scale tip a bit, but I can respect the ideals of conservatives in a manner that doesn't involve our Constitution and Bill of Rights. What I don't much care for is the decision to go to war against Al Qaeda, which is one reason why we are in such an economic valley right now. Outside the war, however, it's not necessarily the government's fault that the economy is withered... it's people who can't budget themselves by putting themselves in million-dollar-debts for shit they can't normally afford.
