Shradow
Each player can only control 1 Type of monster. Send all other face-up monsters they control to the Graveyard. Each player can only control 1 Attribute of monster. Send all other face-up monsters they control to the Graveyard. These things are vulnerable to standard S/T hate, but I think it's always neat to see what sort of decks these disrupt, and to what degree. Discuss. Dementuo
Honestly, Rivalry is looking better than Gozen this format, due to the fact that so many decks are single-attributed (Bujins, Fire Fist, Mermail). The only thing I could really see it stopping, off the top of my head, would be Neo E Dragons...
vla1ne
I need to put a rivalry in my plant deck. that thing does wonders against spam decks. But honestly, rivalry will almost always be the better card of the two. there are only 6 attributes, but there are 20 types (I think, there might be more than that) meaning that decks will often be far more based around single Attribute monsters than single Type monsters. On another node, dropping both of them would be a death sentence for quite a few decks.
Not-so-Radiant Arin
Against Gozen: That's fine, I can just turn my two wind monsters into a wind monster which in turn becomes a wind monster. Against Rivalry: FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

Shradow
I need to remember to put Rivalry in my Ancient Gear deck, since I've only got Machines. Meanwhile I have Gozen in my FIRE deck since I have various types like Pyro, Machine, and Warrior, and it still helps in some circumstances. vla1ne
wouldn't rivalry chained to dna surgery be able to lock down almost every deck that relies on keeping out multiple monsters?

Shradow
Call Divine-Beast. Well that's a glorious idea. Except for the Egyptian God Cards, if your opponent wanted to bring out any other monsters they'd have to Set them first and have them flipped face-up by other means. So, The proper combination would be...: DNA surgery, chain Rivalry, then chain Light of Intervention(with a fake trap face-down)?
