Overloaded Engine Ω (Machine-Type Fusion Monster)

I made this card a while ago but never bothered to post it here, so here is it:

Effect:
1 DARK Machine-Type monster + 1 DARK monster
Must be Fusion Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Fusion Summoned: Target up to 5 monsters in your opponent's Graveyard; banish those target(s), and if you do, this card gains 200 ATK for each card banished by this effect until the End Phase. When this card is destroyed: Special Summon 1 "Broken Engine Token" (Machine-Type/DARK/Level 2/ATK 800/DEF 800) When a "Broken Engine Token" is destroyed: Target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy that target, and negate its effect(s) while it is in the Graveyard or banished.

(YCM changes it into that Z but ideally the symbol should be a Ω)
t is meant to be a retraining of "Fiendish Engine Ω" as a Fusion Monster (the artwork doesn't resemble Fiendish Engine, but is the closest I could find). That's why the first effect can potentially boost this card's ATK by 1000, the same amount that Fiendish Engine gains with its own effect; and its second effect also deals with Tokens. The name is a reference to its compatibility with
The concept behind this card is that the overload temporarily boost the power of this monster, but turns its engine unstable. After it is inevitable destroyed, fragments of the engine remain, which are still overloaded to the point of detonation. Hence the behavior of the Tokens as bombs. The effect-cancelling effect of the bombs is just to give them an added bonus and I felt that a simple destruction would be too bland.

So, things going for this card:
- The first effect provides Graveyard control, while the Token effect lets him make a couple of pluses over time.
- The effects involving Tokens trigger at destruction, so they work around Bottomless Trap Hole, Solemn Warning and other Traps that negate the Summon and destroy.
- It is a target for "Overload Fusion" so decks that play with DARK Machine monsters (Black Salvo, Mechanicalchaser + Rescue Rabbit) can tech 1 or 2 of the Fusion Cards for access to this monster.
- Machines can side "Super Polymerization" to counter DARK decks, and vice-versa.

I tried to make it as powerful as HERO Shining (who provides a +2 after being removed from the field) for encouraging decks with DARK Machines, but I suspect it might be too much for a Fusion that is more generic.

What do you think?

EDIT: Card updated. Now it requires a DARK Machine monster instead of a any Machine, and it Summons a single Token instead of 2

The Materials are very easy to do. Actually, I'd go the unusual way and use it in Cyberdarks because I can xP

No but seriously, an Overload Fusion at 3 in a Gadget's deck with DARK Xyzs sounds really powerful.

I like it overall.

Though, the Token destruction effect sounds too powerful to me. It's already pretty much a 1-card 3800 ATK Soul Release, but it now also gives you 2 walls that destroy cards and can ruin Necro Gardnas, ruin Graphas, and make Garunix cry.

It's an amazing card, but that bit needs some sort of cost or condition.

Maybe a single token, and having you make something like a Tribute or a discard for the token to destroy something (after all, it's malfunctioning so it might not work).

That's what I think.

Yeah, I had this feeling that 2 Tokens is too much, mainly because of their versatility as you can also use them for Tribute or Synchro Materials.

I also agree that the Materials are too generic. I am considering changing it to 1 DARK Machine-Type monster + 1 DARK Monster. That way you would be forced to run DARK Machines and you can still use Super Poly as a side.

So, 2 Tokens and the above change on Materials? Or change the materials AND drop to 1 Token just to be safe?

I'd say change the materials in that way you said and go down to 1 Token. It'd still be pretty good like that.

You Summon a 2800 to 3800 ATK monster with 1 card, ruin your opponent's Graveyard, and get an exploding token that negates what it destroys when it is destroyed.

You could argue it lacks a discard clause to ultimately be a slower-but-more-beefy Trishula.

I also like how your suggested change still makes it viable in Cyberdarks <3

Thanks! I will make the changes in the OP anytime soon.

The goal is to support the most DARK Machines as possible, Cyberdarks included. You could even tech an Overload Fusion in Dark Scorpions if you are running Genex Ally Crusher.

One like is not enough for that last line xP

I've been seeing interesting cards here lately. Konami, make a 100-card YCM expantion booster for semi-generic support you can find in these lands xD
