Lucas the Flame
Morphtronic Cubic While in attack mode: you may target any one machine type monster on your side of the field; equip it to this card, this card gains attack equal to half that monsters and its no longer considered a tuner. While in defense mode: this card can't be destroyed by battle, once per battle phase you can switch an attack target to this card.
Sander
You made an inferior copy of Morphtronic Boarden, and you expect people to post anything worthwhile? People are only going to post one thing, and one thing only. That being on how Cubic is an inferior version of Boarden, and you would be stupid to run Cubic instead of Boarden. Daigusto Sphreez
Well it's certainly not winning any points for originality... But Cubic is a tuner, and it cannot be destroyed by battle, whereas boarden can. So cubic is actually a lot better as an independent card, but less of a team player. If it was level 3 it would be better, since it could combo with level 4 morphtronics and get power tool dragon out, otherwise it could only be used to get out a smaller synchro. It's really not as unplayable as made out above though.
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
It's really not as unplayable as made out above though. It really is. The direct attacking effect is completely inferior to being unkillable by battle, since your Level usually-6 Synchro Monster can take out a monster and deal about the same amount of damage. The other effect is nice and all, but Shiba-Warrior Taro does the same thing, has the same Level/Attribute, and is searchable by Tenki. This is searchable by Gigant, but Decks that run Gigant don't care much about Level 6 Synchroes at all. Making it a Level 3 Tuner will most likely backfire since Morphtronics already have Scopen (who is basically "Normal Summon Burei/BRD/PTD hurr durr") and Remoten (who can search other Morphtronics in obscure ways). When making support for terrible archetypes, aim to make something that would actually help them become a faster Deck that can establish a winning position much easily. Not be a random Level 2 Tuner who cries every night because Boarden outclasses it in pretty much every way and its only real use would be for Celfon to gamble and make Clausolas with it. It's not great, but still has uses boarden does not. I wasn't claiming this card was great, but I really don't see how boarden excels over this so much in your opinions, which was the point I was razing. They aren't a "terrible" archetype, they're unreliable, but then they're pretty fun to play as well. It is annoying that this card is a mere 100 atk away from being machine dupeable though, then it could actually see some use. Since morphtronics can happily run machine dupe with celfon, vacuum, boarden and possible cyber valley plays.
Lucas the Flame
Is this better?
Therrion
Absurd. Now it is a Normal Summonable monster removal that is a Tuner to boot. It shouldn't be able to take an opponent's monster and equip it without some sort of cost and restriction, such as a discard and Level/Rank restriction. Trebuchet MS
As much as I love the card art, I need to ask: What kind of household object is Cubic supposed to be based off?And no, don't respond with "a cube". Unless we're in the Portalverse, cubes that have little function other than being cubes won't quite count towards the household items which is the whole Morphtronic theme. Lucas the Flame
I believe this is a better first effect. Its meant to be a decoration in a house.
Sander
I believe this is a better first effect. What part of Therrion's post did you not understand? This card, at the moment, is a Normal Summonable Relinquished, and if Cubic is sent to the Graveyard, the monster you equipped to it will be sent to the Graveyard as well, aka why Therrion listed this as free monster removal. Lucas the Flame
I hope this is more balanced and reasonable.
Therrion
Now it would be used for defensive shenanigans in Morphtronics, as well as a guaranteed Tuner in casual decks. Pretty good. I imagine the Attack effect is pointless, so I won't address it.
Lucas the Flame
If that is it, then I'm going to stop editing this card.
