ZeRainbowDash
Maybe some of you know Cardfight! Vanguard. I was looking at my cards the other day and thought I might make a card based off of Thunder Break Dragon. Card: Lore: When this card declares an attack on your opponent's monster: This card gains 500 ATK. When this card is Special Summoned: You may Tribute 1 monster you control; target 1 Level 6 or lower monster your opponent controls, destroy it. Your opponent cannot activate card effects in response to this cards effect. Thoughts?
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Only a slight OCG fix (the bolded) "Your opponent cannot activate card effects in response to this card's effect." (just a simple apostrophe) Anyway, I don't see any outright flaws with this card. Its effect is powerful (especially destroying a monster w/your opponent being unable to do much about it); though the monster Tribute counterbalances it. Stats are average for a card of equivalent Level. My one and only suggestion, perhaps make the ATK gain from its 1st effect only last until the End Phase of the turn; otherwise it'll eventually add up and make it too powerful for a Level 8 (though the opponent can still block your attack and prey on its 0 DEF). Overall, it's a very good card; keep it up.
Rainbeux
This cards effect is a little OP having gain 500 ATK permanently from a 3000 original attack every time it attacks an opponents monster. This cards second effect is not to bad but if you want to even this card out, I suggest changing its effect to something like this. When this card attacks an opponents monster with ATK higher than this card: This card gains 700 ATK until the end of the Battle Phase. When this card is Special Summoned: You may Tribute 1 monster you control; target 1 Level 6 or lower monster your opponent controls, destroy it. Your opponent cannot activate card effects in response to this cards effect. ATK/2800 DEF/0 (If you want to even it out so it gains ATK but only temorarily) or When this card declares an attack on your opponent's monster: This card gains 500 ATK and loses 500 DEF. When this card is Special Summoned: You may Tribute 1 monster you control; target 1 Level 6 or lower monster your opponent controls, destroy it. Your opponent cannot activate card effects in response to this cards effect. Your opponent cn negate this effect by discarding 1 monster card. When your opponent discards a card by this cards effect, increase this cards DEF by 500. During the End Phase, if this card has 0 DEF, send it to the Graveyard ATK3000 DEF/1500 (If you want to let it keep its ATK gain but limit the amount of times it can use it)
ZeRainbowDash
Ok, you're both right- I didn't word it correctly. I kept the effects of the original card, and when a card gains power, it loses it after the battle phase. So I'll cange that up. I've been kicking around doing a vanguard set... Ziliath
Let me fix this for ya. When this card attacks, increase this cards ATK by 500 during damage calculation only. When this card is Special Summoned: You can Tribute 1 monster you control to target and destroy 1 Level 6 or lower monster your opponent controls, your opponent cannot activate card effects in response to this cards activation. Recommended changes ATK 2500 down from 3000 ATK buff is only applied during damage calculations Cards can however can be activated in response to this effect resolving, eg wind up zenmains if it could be targeted
ZeRainbowDash
Well, in Vanguard, you can't stop it from powering up if it attacks. It's an auto effect
Sander
Cards can however can be activated in response to this effect resolving, eg wind up zenmains if it could be targeted That's because it's a continuous effect. Anyways, the card is fine. There's nothing really wrong about it, expect "may" is not correct OCG. You use "can" instead of "may". I don't know about the ATK gain, however. I feel like it's fine, but then I know that cards like Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon exists, so you're getting a 3000+ beater onto the field without much effort, but then again, if you didn't Special Summon it, it's completely justified.
