WindupRabbitFan14
So, here's a few little things on this card: •That boost is per monster in your graveyard. I didn't notice the first time I read it. •Generically, it can boost Number 44: Sky Pegasus and Diamond Dire Wolf. •In specific decks, it boosts Flamvell Firedog, Fencing Fire Ferret, Rescue Rabbit, Photon Sabre Tiger, the Ojamas, Dewloren, and Naturia Beast. •Field spells it will be likely to remove this format include Necrovalley, Dragon Ravine, The Gates of Dark World, and The Seal of Orichalcos. This really hurts decks that use those. I'm siding three this format, what do you think of it? (I suck at thread titles)
Sleepy
Err.... I'm not too sure what's the biggest decks besides still Dragons, and having Spellbooks, Bujins, Fire Fists, Mermails, be following. Though, I don't think it's the best side. Orichalcos is a "once per game" thing that decks can't really depend too much on. You won't find decks that will often be ruined by losing it. Necrovalley is a good card, I think it stopped banishing Graveyards right? Necrovalley by itself is just a side on itself. I don't think a side for a side would be the best. It could help you out here and there, but meh. Dragon Ravine would rather lose to an MST for the discard. Another Field Spell makes it a little bit too slow, not to mention it's more situational. Spellbook Tower also still gets the initial advantage to pay for itself anyways. It can get respectable over 3k beaters, but I don't expect it to boost more than 2 or 3 per game. Especially with Bujins hilariously siding that DNA. It's not per say a bad card, but I'd rather do MST/Dust Tornado for side... or not need a side to some degree. How well has it worked for you? Darj
I'm waiting for Konami to release a decent Beast Archetype to take full advantage of its ATK boost. Until then, this card is best used as a side, but countering Field Spells is usually one of the last things you will be siding for, and thus there is no space left for this. Cute Rotten Yoshika
except that this format is VERY field dependent. ravine and tower each help their decks win single-handedly. the issue is that both decks have non-destruction ways of getting rid of closed forest (pwwb and fate) so this isnt actually useful enough on its own. WindupRabbitFan14
...However, when you're playing Counter-Fairies and you've got 3x Debunk and 3x Divine Wrath at your disposal, being able to protect the field spell while saving your MSTs for proper backrow (end-phase sets) and Twisters for face-ups (Decree, Skill Drain, Phalanx) suddenly makes Closed Forest a very viable side. Twister can have another thread though. Right now, in a deck that can stop Blaster, Dux and Grapha reliably, it's a very, very potent card.
