~British Soul~
2 Level 8 Dragon-Type monsters Once per turn, if you control no other monsters: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then activate 1 of these effects. ● Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster from your hand. ● Target 1 Dragon-Type monster your opponent controls; take control of that target. ● Dragon-Type monsters your opponent controls cannot activate their effects until the end of your opponent's turn. Like the other "Legendary Numbers" in SHSP this also got a rarity downgrade. This guy is now a Super. Discuss.
evilfusion
It's nothing against the Legendary Numbers. It's that SHSP has so many great/desirable cards and the SHSP Numbers are all mediocre. For example...this thing is a Rank 8 that requires Dragon monsters. So...what Decks can really use this, outside of something like a Blue-Eyes spam Deck? Galaxy could use it, but when I give up 2 Galaxy-Eyes, I want something that'll either win or helps out a great deal in my current situation. It's a 3000/3000, which is solid, but it needs you to control no other monsters. I suppose that's not too difficult to pull off, but it's conditional by default. And then...all 3 of its effects are in some way limited to Dragon monsters. Either you can SS a Dragon from your hand (yay)...or you can take permanent control of your opponent's Dragon. (yay?)...or you can prevent your opponent from using Dragon effects until your next turn. Um...what? Pretty much, this says "Anti-Dragon Rulers". But only if you run Level 8 Dragons. Maeriberii Haan
Goshdarnit Konami, why do you keep changing the names of an OCG card if it doesn't really necessary? I can forgive you about Traptrix, but this is just no. No, no, and seriously no. Ethereal Dragon Draggluon sounds more majestic and better. The rarity drop is nice though, eventhough Ultra will look really good for this. But seriously Konami, fuck you.

The rarity drop is nice though, eventhough Ultra will look really good for this. But seriously Konami, fuck you. They've done this for almost all the Numbers. And it makes sense, because the OCG/anime names of the Numbers tend to be alarmingly long in some cases. Number 9 was Sky Canopy - Dyson Sphere. TCG shortened it to "Dyson Sphere", which was logical. Number 25 was...Fullmetal Photoglide - Focus Force. TCG shortened it to "Force Focus" (annoying to me because it reversed those words. Number 16 was Conquerer of Colors - Shock Ruler. We know it as Shock Master. Number 39 was Aspiring Emperor Hope. It got shortened to Utopia. Number 46 was Ethereal Dragon Dragluon. I see nothing wrong with it being shortened to Dragluon. It's totally within the pattern of TCG Numbers, and keeps the card's name from being absurdly long and difficult to say.
Maeriberii Haan
Yes, I know. Also don't forget no 104 Masquerade Magician -Shining- into No.104 Masquerade. But unlike them, Dragluon doesn't really makes sense as a standalone though. Maybe if it has something to do with Dragon who glows or something, but leaving only Dragluon kinda makes it lame. I'll snap out of this irrational anger to Konami soon, but that won't stop me from disliking the name changes. As for the card itself, it's really situational, and decks that can summon it always have something better to summon(Felgrand, Tachyon, stuffs). The second and third effect should've been buffed. evilfusion
Yeah...104's name shortening made it a bit weird. And who can forget my annoyance at Number 69: Heraldry God - Coat of Arms being Heraldry Crest? WHY NOT KEEP IT COAT OF ARMS?! Logical, but heart-breaking. I try not to be bothered by it anymore. And I'm not! Yay! (Hey, stop looking at my last paragraph!) I can see why the change/shortening might be annoying, but it's not a big deal. Partially because it's not a memorable card, even among the Numbers.
Maeriberii Haan
The art is one of the best though, in my opinion. On par with No. 101, No. 9, and No. 92/C92. Would've been waaay better if the second effect is actually a Big Eye. Or at least, if the third effect is something akin to Tiger King/C106. Numbers 87: Beautiful Goddess of the Four Seasons - Queen of Nights. Better sounding, but there's no way that would have fit in English. Yeah, some Numbers had names changed when they could have fit them on a card, like Brilliant. I mean, the TCG name change kind of ruins the entire reason the thing is an ant, and Straight isn't the first word that comes to mind when I see Lucky Stripe. Like evilfusion said, it isn't the Legenday Numbers, its the Numbers in general.
~British Soul~
Tbh, I was just commenting on the fact that like the other Legendary Numbers in SHSP (I only said that because C96 is in the set), this guy got a rarity downgrade (Which as evilfusion said in the other topics, isn't a bad thing as they'll be cheaper). When I saw the name shortening, I decided to shrug it off because I know it had happened to most of the other Numbers anyway, and I saw no point in b****ing about it. 玄魔の王
Yeah...104's name shortening made it a bit weird. And who can forget my annoyance at Number 69: Heraldry God - Coat of Arms being Heraldry Crest? WHY NOT KEEP IT COAT OF ARMS?! Logical, but heart-breaking. We both know why, though it doesn't really matter because you can always just use the OCG name. It's a shame this card got so heavily nerfed from its anime form, and by contrast the (predictable if heavy-handed) name change isn't so bad. heraldry_lord
I expected them to just keep Dragluon. Shark even called him "Number 46: Dragluon" at one point, so it's not that big of a deal. As for the card itself, it was nerfed hard, but I hear that OCG Dragon Ruler decks running the Mythic Dragons (the easiest way to bring him out IMO) actually tech one Number 46, especially for mirror matches, and since the deck Synchros a lot more, and those Synchros are often Dragons...... Also it usually doesn't work on Dragon Rulers, since it only works on Dragons your opponent controls on the field. I honestly think that this guy would have been much better off as a Synchro.
