Delibirb
Declare a Level between 1 and 12; each player tosses a coin, and if both are Heads, the Levels of all face-up monsters you currently control become the declared Level. If both are tails, you lose Life Points equal to the declared Level x 500. This card came Short Print in Shadow Specters, and I think it is decent enough to discuss. Personally I've found it can be a powerful (albeit ridiculously dangerous and inconsistent) part in a "The Calculator" OTK deck. Not even to mention the Xyz shenanigans that can potentially occur. Discuss your thoughts on this card that likely won't see much (successful) play.
evilfusion
The problem with such a gamble card is you have a 25% of doing what you want, a 25% of taking potentially massive burn, and a 50% of doing absolutely nothing. That 50% of doing nothing turns me away from the card by default. All gamble cards are inconsistent by nature of being gamble cards, but the best gamble cards are the ones that either do something positive at a high chance (Snipe Hunter's 66% of success), or the only downside to failure is nothing happening (Snipe Hunter, again). When you start adding factors that do negative things to you, or multiple possible outcomes with only one of them being positive...it starts getting bad. Indeed, which is probably why if anyone actually runs this card, it will probably hurt more than help them. It would have been better, IMO, if you got anything other than Tails + Tails then the levels got changed, but thats a 75% chance of a positive outcome and almost certainly not balanced at all XP
Trebuchet MS
The art amuses me with the thought of using Yugioh cards in a poker-esque style. Wonder how they determine the value of those 5-card combos. Exodia definitely wins outright like a Royal Flush, but what about the Skull Servant royal family? Toffee.
almost certainly not balanced at all XPRemind me again how a situational version of Galaxy Queen's Light would be considered overpowered?
Miror B
75% chance to fail is bad (not even including the fact that 25% is a chance to hurt yourself)
Delibirb
Remind me again how a situational version of Galaxy Queen's Light would be considered overpowered? I was more talking about a situational 18000 The Calculator, which IMO is probably the best thing this card can be used for, and even then not a very good use. Althemia
Remind me again how a situational version of Galaxy Queen's Light would be considered overpowered?Remind me again how something being unbalanced suddenly means it's overpowered? This is a gripe I've had lately, where YCM instantly makes the connection of unbalance = broken. Unbalanced can mean underpowered too, just like this card is.
