Illusion Jester

The idea behind this card was to give one of my favorite cards, the Summoned Skull, some indirect support (this card can also help other Normal Monsters as well though). Anyway, please rate/fix/comment.

Effect:

If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "Illusion Jester" from your hand or Deck. You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 Level 6 Normal Monster from your hand, Deck or Graveyard, and if you do, it gains 500 ATK. You cannot declare an attack or Summon any monsters from your Extra Deck the turn you activate this effect.

The card is broken, there's no denying that, given how just successfully Summoning 1 Illusion Jester will allow you to get 3 Level 6 Normal monsters from your Deck / hand / Grave onto the field. And you know what's so funny about that? By changing the first effect into a "When" effect instead of an "If" effect, all of that nonsense can be avoided.

I think the card is broken.

First, it is essentially a Peten who doesn't miss the timing, which I don't know if it would have to be Semi-Limited considering that a similar floater, Reborn Tengu, is currently Semi-Limited.

Then, since you will be most likely running Summoned Skulls, Wattaildragons and/or Frostosaurus with this, this means that by Tributing a Jester you will be bringing a +3000 ATK beastick AND another Jester from the Deck (the first effect won't miss the timing because of the "If"), who can Tribute herself to Summon another Normal AND a 3rd Jester to the field, who can also bring yet another Normal Monster.

Even if they cannot attack nor you cannot make an Synchro/Xyz from them, you would be gaining 3 cards out from 1, which is too much.

fake Edit: Ninja'd by Zanda.

I would say this card is supporting Summoned Skull the wrong way. I suggest the following as the second effect (taking the idea from "Vampire Sorcerer"), which should be more balanced:

You can banish this card from your Graveyard; 1 Level 6 Normal Monster you Normal Summon this turn can be Summoned without Tributing.

That way, you won't be able to do silly stuff like the combo above nor swarm the field with big monsters, while still supporting Summoned Skull and Level 6 Normals, and the Jester would retain her floating capabilities.

I don't think it's entirely broken since a lot of cards can help swarm the field nowadays anyway. Yu-Gi-Oh has changed, this could help Normal Monsters since hardly anyone uses them anymore. I would however, suggest rewording the not summoning from the extra deck to saying that the monster summoned cannot be used as an Xyz Material or for a Synchro Summon.

You can not compare this card to already released cards, as those cards do not allow you to get out 3 Normal Monsters from anywhere for just Summoning 1 copy of it. It also doesn't help that how easily you can reuse the card. The only card that can be remotely compared to this card is Maiden with Eyes of Blue, which is broken / stupidly designed on its own right, and guess what? This card is even more broken than Maiden with Eyes of Blue.

I still say that my suggestion to change the first effect into "When this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "Illusion Jester" from your hand or Deck", aka make it not be able to get another copy of itself out every time you Tribute it for its effect. Also, remove the damn versatility of it. Being able to get a Normal from anywhere makes it still stupid and badly designed, aka remove Deck from the equation and the card will be more balanced than it is at the moment.
