Cannot be Special Summoned, except by its own effect. During your next Standby Phase after this card was Tributed for a Tribute Summon: You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. You cannot Special Summon monsters from your Extra Deck the turn you activate this effect.

The new Treeborn Frog for no-Extra Monarchs, though most of the time, you'll just have to Set this and hope your opponent doesn't run it over so you can use it as a Tribute.

But at the same time, you can actually run a backrow.
Hell, you could even Call of the Haunted this, on the off-chance it was destroyed by other means, and still Tribute it from there.

Oh, and by the way, you can stack this card.
So maybe, just maybe, Precious Cards from the Beyond can exist in a deck that isn't Photons.

No extra deck builds still sound worse than Frognarchs because the lack of consitency in the tribute engine. I mean, that's the big reason Frogs are the best tribute engine.

This isn't enough to make a backrow focused build work. In my eyes.

A chaos build could be interesting eventually, since Dark/Light have some interesting floaters (Like Ebony and Ivory)

This does not replace Treeborn in any way, shape or form. Even though you can defend it with Traps and use it with Molding of the Monarchs, you would have to Tribute Summon every single turn to make this work. If your opponent draws Compulsory or anything to screw up the Tribute, you lose all your tempo.
