Number C101: Silent Honor's Dark Knight

3 Level 5 monsters
Once per turn: You can target 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls; attach that monster to this card as an Xyz Material. When this card is destroyed while it has Xyz Material: You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard, then gain Life Points equal to its original ATK. If Summoned this way, this card cannot attack for the rest of this turn. You must have "Number 101: Silent Honors Ark Knight" in your Graveyard to activate and to resolve this effect.

With its former, it went from detaching 2 Materials to none Although something about its revival effect seem to make me chuckle. That aside, after watching the anime, it was amusing to think it was inside the Ark Knight, controlling it before it come out of the Ark when it was RUM'd.

Aaaaaanyway, discuss this guy.

Love this card so much. The fact it doesn't rely on No.101 for its effect is beautiful, and it's not limited to Attack Position SSed monsters. Alongside C69, it really does make Limited Barian's Force a potential tech in Rank 4 Decks. Being able to revive if 101 is in the Graveyard is also a very nice ability, but I've never actually done it yet. I either don't have 101 in the Grave, or it doesn't get killed.

I keep getting opponent running Blue-Eyes decks and stuff, so I never run out of opponents who try and kill it. One guy actually put out a Decoy Dragon, and out of sheer "why not?" I just rammed into it a couple turns in a row to make my Life go up, then absorb the new monster.

I did feel like making a deck around this card. While I have the ideas for Spell/Trap line-up but for monster line-up, I'm not sure. Then again, Limited Barian's Force is potent enough as a tech, not staple till we have a RUM searcher (and maybe The Seventh One in the future.) I feel like I am talking about alcohol here. ._.

The reason "WHY" it's not tied to 101? What reason is that?

Let me rephrase that:
The fact this card doesn't need 101 as it's main method of being Summoned, as you previously mentioned, is why this card is fantastic.
I mean, you could have a dead 101 in your Graveyard from Dark Hole/Warning/Being Tributed/etc/etc, then just Limited Force on any Rank 4 later on, and you would still get all of it's effects because you simply need 101 in the Graveyard.
It's not like, oh, say, Skypalace Babylon, in the sense that you need [X Xyz monster] attached in order to do things, as the only real requirement in order to revive it is just having 101 in the Graveyard.

Okay, that's what I thought you meant (it's the same reason C69 is fantastic, as its effect requiring No.69 is overkill incarnate, when its default effect and stats are already superb), but I wasn't sure if you meant the flavor of the card, as Dark Knight was INSIDE the SH-Ark and Ranking it Up brought it out. As such, it's not bound to the Ark anymore.

I found it to be fantastic just because No.101's effect is already amazing, and C101 is a better version of that, but incredibly generic since it doesn't need 101. But only if you use Limited Force.

I'm still wondering how good or bad 100 and C100 will be. Honestly, the C numbers are pretty good, we still need, as stated many times before, an easy search for RUM.

There might not be a C100. The Over-Hundreds all have Chaos versions, but No.100 would be one of the Astral Numbers.

Could it be that Don Thousand himself could be Number 100? I mean, he could be apart of Astrals memories considering he was locked away by Astral, blah blah

Number 96 says hi.

No, seriously, No.96 is a fragment of Don Thousand.

Zexal II sort of deviated from the Numbers being Astral's memories. The Legendary Numbers actually contain the memories of the Barian Emperors' past lives, and whenever Astral claims Numbers, he gives little, if any, indication of remembering more. In addition, he seems to randomly remember things, like Don Thousand being his greatest enemy as the Barian god, without Numbers exchanging hands.

All we really know, though, is that there are 100 Numbers in Astral's memory, and that the Over-Hundred Numbers were created by Don Thousand for the Barian Emperors prior to them being killed. Number 100 might not be a particularly significant Number any more than Number 1...let's very quickly move away from the subject of Number 1.

I'm just saying that Number 100 might not get a Chaos version because unlike 101-107, it's not necessarily on the same level of plot importance as the Over-Hundreds. That said, Don Thousand could actually have Number 100. Somehow he's able to create Numbers, and definitely created the Over-Hundreds.
