If this card battles an opponent's monster, that monster's ATK becomes its original ATK, during damage calculation only. Once per turn, during the Damage Step of either player's turn, when a monster you control is attacking or being attacked: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; that monster gains 1000 ATK, until the End Phase.

When this card is Special Summoned: Change all face-down Defense Position monsters on the field to face-up Attack Position. (Flip Effects are not activated.) If this card attacks a monster, at the end of the Damage Step: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls with the highest ATK (your choice, if tied); this card can make a second attack in a row against that target.

Antidote Nurse has a vastly improved effect from its original anime incarnation, able to either make itself into a 2800 ATK monster, or power up another monster you control.

Plus, it continues the theme of ATK gain hate that seems to be all the rage with Xyz Monsters by negating any ATK gains from its opponents.

Playmaker, on the other hand, still isn't really worth it, despite the powerful SS-based effect.
