Cyber Dragon Nova [SDCR]

2 Level 5 Machine-Type monsters

Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 "Cyber Dragon" in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can banish 1 "Cyber Dragon" from your hand or face-up from your Monster Card Zone; this card gains 2100ATK until the End Phase. If this card in your possession is sent to your Graveyard by your opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 1 Machine-Type Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck.

Only 2 materials = good.

Machine-type restriction = good, even though CyDra is so easy to summon and we now (at least in DN) have Drei to cover the Rank 5 for them.

First effect = Nice. Resummons a CyDra that can be used for this card's effect, another Nova, or another Rank 5.

Second effect = An OTK waiting to happen. Who thought this was a good idea? And during any player's turn meaning it can combo with Limiter for an astounding 8400 ATK.

Third effect = It has to hit the grave and it has to be by your opponent's card effect. But the reward really compensates: A free Cyber End Dragon is too good to overlook even with that restriction. It'll also make your opponent be afraid of destroying this thing with effects and try to banish it or attack it - at which point its second effect can bring it to 4200.

Conclusion: Can be pretty broken in its own way, but has some weaknesses that can be exploited. It's not unbeatable, but if I ever build a CyDra deck I'd run at least 2 of this. 3 if I have the extra deck space.

Discussion time.

This card is terrible early-game though.  You can't use 1st eff if Cyber Dragon isn't in your Graveyard, which would be almost every single early-game situation in the Deck.  2nd effect is bonkers, but anyone can see it coming a mile away.  3rd effect is balanced in the fact that your opponent can't just use Dark Hole to get rid of it unless if your opponent has a back-up plan.  It's honestly fine the way it is.

D best card tho is Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon. Whenever one of your cards die from battle or card effect you can instantly summon it, giving you a pretty strong card early in the game. I have won a lot of times because of this headstart. Also the fact that there are three words crammed into one in his name makes him super hilarious to your opponent, making them forget their battle plan.
