Lacooda
3 Level 4 WATER monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by using "Red Archery Girl" or "Toon Mermaid" as the Xyz Material. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card and target 1 Xyz Monster on the field; your opponent must select 1 card in their hand and attach it to the target. Once per turn, if "Toon World" is on the field: You can detach all Xyz Materials from this card; Special Summon 1 "Manga Ryu-Ran" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. If "Toon World" would be destroyed, you can destroy this card instead. Rescue Rabbit + Toon World = Opponent loses 2 cards in hand and you gain 2 of this and 2 Manga Ryu-Ran, which can become a Rank 7. Did I go too far with that? Lacooda
Out of curiosity, why does it ONLY support Manga Ryu-Ran? I mean, for the one effect. That's because he's the poor most unsupported card from the Toon Monsters. Not saying others don't need it, but thinking about it well, Pegasus had Summoned Skull because his copycat made it from Yugi's, and Blue-Eyes because he took it from Kaiba. Without those 2 borrowed ones, Ryu-Ran is the authentic Toon boss. If I made it more broad, Blue-Eyes would be used over Ryu-Ran 99% of the time. I'm trying to give him some glory. Did I go too far with that? Unfortunately, this card's effect to Special Summon "Manga Ryu-Ran" could not possibly work from the Deck or Hand and could not work from the Graveyard unless it was first Special Summoned with its own effect. "Manga Ryu-Ran" is what's known as a 'Special Summon-only monster' because it contains the phrases 'Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set..., Must first be Special Summoned...' This means that "Manga Ryu-Ran" must be Special Summoned from the hand while "Toon World" is already on the field by tributing 2 monsters. If you want to work around that clause, you would have to insert the phrase 'ignoring its summoning conditions.' at the end of "Elite Archery Girl's" Special Summoning effect text. Oh that's awful news. You see. I am completely aware of what nomis and semi-nomis are in the game. However, from the "Dark Legends" version of Toon lores, what I understood was that they couldn't be Normal Summoned/Set, but otherwise everything was fair as long as Toon World was face-up. Also it included the text of needing Tributes for Level 5+ monsters. Now that problem-solving text is there, there's no question that that is now the official lore of Toon monsters. Why? Why Konami? Why did you have to state "Must first be" and then specify "Tribute Summoned", meaning one can't ditch the Tributing part whatsoever. Never before had Toons had precise nomi/semi-nomi lores up until now. That is awful. On another note: Thanks for the comment, and I will add the "ignoring the Summoning conditions" clause. Now I think the only way Toons are ever gonna work out is by plain retraining them =(
