I liked the original Yu Gi Oh when I wuz a kid but Gx makes no sense.

I liked the yugioh Abridged series, i think its Pure genious, however i have seen abridged GX episodes and they suck badly lol

Thats precisely why i hate the anime btw, its the friendship speeches, family values and all the nonsense about the shadow realm.

Then again, you have to think it's a kid's show, and that the editors probably added in a few annoying speeches they didn't need to. That, and whenever something actually cool was going to happen, they changed it to "be sent to the Shadow Realm".

 

Example: Arcana (or whatzizs face) says whoever loses gets their legs chopped off.

it wasn't supposed to be a kids show... nor the game itself... but thats why theres so much explicitly in the Japanese version

He started off the series good, with a more realistic-but-imaginative setting, the Duel School. Then he ruined it with the Dark Riders stuff, Shadow Duels, etc.
