the_engineer
You can Tribute Summon this card by Tributing 1 Tribute Summoned monster. When this card is Tribute Summoned: You can target up to 3 Spell/Trap Cardson the field; destroy those targets. If this card was Tribute Summoned by Tributing a WATER monster, add this additional effect.● Your opponent cannot activate the targeted card(s) in response to this effect’s activation. Treeborn + generic monster = This + wipe out 3 cards that cannot be chained OP or not OP? discuss
Wildflame
Running it at 1 in generic Frog Monarchs. It's pretty damn good.
Maeriberii Haan
Currently only usable in frognarchs, but it's pretty gewd there.
Blake
It's not overpowered at all. It's a card that's worth the effort and the existence of should cause you to play more intelligently against Frogs because you know this will most likely hit the board at some point. It's pretty damn good. In facts, today i felt in love with him, since i decided to pick a single copy to put it into Frognarchs and it was pure nuke on everything (I had even managed to kill 1 BTH, 1 TT and 1 Skill drain at the same time with that effect). With these super monarchs around i just hope that konami doesn't limit/ban the treeborns/swap frogs, that would be a total punch in the face. Maeriberii Haan
They'll probably make them obsolote with a new engine that allows you to still run backrow instead.
the_engineer
They'll probably make them obsolote with a new engine that allows you to still run backrow instead. that already has been made, it's a card in LVAL which can be summoned in the next SP after the turn you used it to tribute summon a monster, and has 2000 def (i don't remember the name)

Maeriberii Haan
What Black said basically. With how much they pushed for no extra deck backrow monarches lately, I won't be surprised if they make a good and consistent engine for that playstyle. Toffee.
Look, guys, if anything... Mega Caius OR Mega Raiza could potentially warrant list-attention, if they are as extreme as we are expecting them to be. But that's a stretch, only because they will only really work in [Obscure Deck X].Aside from that....The fact Treeborn is a card, and Swap can appear out of nowhere, it REALLY makes this card a lot more playable, then, oh, say, Mega Granmarg, literally all because Frogs are a thing, and they are WATER.Oh, and you can totally play this card through Bubble Bringer, which is pretty silly in it's own right because Bringer isn't as contradicting to Frogs as it first appears to be. Maeriberii Haan
Mega Caius will be a major threat in Ghostrick-Monarchs. Seriously.
goddamnit names are a pain
Mega Caius will be a major threat in Ghostrick-Monarchs. Seriously. "Banish all DARK Monsters on the field and inflict 1000 damage to your opponent for each on banished this way" You could get away with Dragon RulerNarchs, I swear. *shot* Despite the Megas killing them all. The art is glorious, the effect is amazing, I can't wait to see what Narchs can do.
Slinky
They'll probably make them obsolote with a new engine that allows you to still run backrow instead. At the cost of no extra deck, which is honestly not that big a deal, considering Mega Thestalos, Mega Caius, and Mega Raiza are on their way. In facts, today i felt in love with him, since i decided to pick a single copy to put it into Frognarchs and it was pure nuke on everything (I had even managed to kill 1 BTH, 1 TT and 1 Skill drain at the same time with that effect). Frogs have another option now called Ronintoad. So popping out 2 tributes for literally nothing is heavily unfair given the power creep these cards have and will bound to have (looking at you Mega Caius/Thestalos/Raiza) Thestalos is the one I'm most worried about, as its most likely going to be a delinquent duo. To where it becomes a lose-lose situation. Lose them by Mega Mobius, or drop them by Mega Thestalos.
Maeriberii Haan
Speaking of Thestalos, the thought of it stripping 2 cards on summon while burning and god know what the last effect might be could be quite terrifying.

Maeriberii Haan
We're like talking about it now. From the possible and current megas, Caius and Thestalos seems to be the most worrying due to how gamechaning their potential effects might be. Althemia
... Does nobody read my posts anymore?I didn't find anything about Tensu at all. :v The reason why Thestalos will be good isn't because of the fact that it discards, but because of the fact that it has an engine that can actually support using him. 4-Axis can play him with such ease that it's going to be stupid not to play him, chances are. TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
Thestalos the Mega Monarch should send 2 random cards (or two of choice), and not discard, just to avoid Dark World shenanigans. Or, banish them, just for added effect.
Maeriberii Haan
On another note, if Caius banish cards face-down, that would be really wonderful.
