Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk
DARK/Fiend/Effect
2 Level 4 monsters
You can target 1 Xyz Monster you control; equip this face-up card to that target. It gains 1200 ATK. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; target 1 card in your opponent’s Graveyard; banish that target. You can only use this effect of “Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk” twice per turn.

0/1200

discuss?

It probably could have been better if you detached 2 materials so your opponent chose what cards you could banish from theri grave and you could banish say... 1-3 cards? And it's pretty weak to try to do anything effective as if Crow would do. Not really worth putting in the Extra even if for that banish.

I just don't like how obvious its use is even though it has 2 effects.

Summon -> Banish 2 cards in the Graveyard -> Attach to something for Atk boost.

There's not really any other play with this card, and other cards could probably do what it does better for the cost of 2 Level 4 monsters.

Does nobody else find it really weird that it has 0 ATK and 1200 DEF, yet boosts ATK when equipped by 1200?

Also really don't see why it didn't have the standard "if the equipped monster would be destroyed..." clause as that would make it more worthwhile than anything else. Banishing key cards from the grave is nice (Grapha, Treeborn in Monarchs, other stuff) but not enough on its own on such a weak body.

At least its rank up is DAD that then attaches to give +2K ATK.

This however seems like it could be decent in the right formats. 2 cards from the grave for 2 monsters without having to go into Ouroboros to hit just 1 is actually really important and can screw a lot of decks over.

Like it punishes Hieratics heavily if executed at the right time.

This card's actually really decent. Any setup deck that uses the graveyard is seriously stopped stone cold by it, and the fact that it can pump something up, like, say, a Dolkka or Lead Yoke while ruining their grave setup is really nice.

It's a good card, just format influenced.

Oh god, that extra 1.2k on Lead Yoke would be really scary.

Stacking an extra 1.2k on mos Xyz Monsters is pretty scary. 3800 Dracossack, 4000 Abyssgaios/Oreia, 4000 Felgrand (well, while not under its own influence)...

And the banish effect is useful against a lot of things. Though again, C80 is the better effect by far.

Dammit Dem, that is what I wanted to do, D:

Matt, the 0 ATK and 1200 DEF is the weird thing. The fact that it increases ATK by 1200 just tells me that its defensive capabilities are being used offensively, and I don't find that weird.
