werewolfjedi
When the effect of a "Penguin" monster is activated: Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. You can only use the effect of "Nopenguin" once per turn. Cards returned from the field to your opponent's hand by the effect of a "Penguin" card are banished instead. and the penguin deck just got a monster of a card. and that return redirection looks like a continiuous effect. I wouldn't say it is necro bumping since the thread is only a week old. It was pushed back because a LOT of new cards are being discussed because of PRIO and Arc-V info (Pendulum monsters and the starter deck). Although you are right about the name change. Still I don't think anybody wants to talk about a card that has already been discussed. Just seems pointless.
Sleepy
Thinking well about it, this is the Penguin pattern, at least for the ones that are not Normal Monsters: Puny Penguin (Level 1) Penguin Soldier (Level 2) Nopenguin (Level 3) Nightmare Penguin (Level 4) Emperor Penguin (Level 5)
Neutrality Man
Cards returned from the field to your opponent's hand by the effect of a "Penguin" card are banished instead. Oh shit, Penguin Soldier loops can be combo'd with this mother!
werewolfjedi
lets do deck concepts then, in a deck using this, we would use, soilder, nightmare, and puny most likely, what could be build around that? it's powerful monster removal engine looking at it, all of of it recyclable, nope can revive in chain to put down it's banishing effect, making it impossible to get around with timing I think, since it trggers on the penguin abilitys. what can be built with them in the deck. Sleepy
Emperor Penguin + Legendary Ocean help you there a little bit as well. Higher DEF stats and their own Rescue Rabbit-like effect is pretty sweet. One issue with it though, is that there's no "flip back down" mechanic in these cards, making the deck casual at best. Sleepy
then is there a way to do that with other cards? You could use Book of Eclipse, but your opponent will get a lot of draw power through that, and adding techs like Heavy Slump is trying too hard and lowering the deck's consistency so there is no real counter-measure to it. You can flip cards up quickly with W Nebula Meteorite and Ghostrick Pacnic. You can also have Burst Rebirth but the 2000 pay is way unnecessary. Tsukuyomi is not really a choice since you'll most likely need your Normal Summon for penguins. So in short, I don't really know what would be an effective build. You could try some of the above and see how it turns out. If only there was a way to flip down all your monsters in a consistent way. This all could be a solid thing. Sleepy
ghostrick doll? *Reads her effect* Hahaha xD Oh my... oh yeah! *cough* Yeah, Ghostrick Penguins sounds fun. I should try that. When does she come out in TCG? Oh in like 2 months.... well should try YGOPro then..... She can search copies of herself and Ghostrick Panic is gonna be lulzy. Plus, you have Nightmare Penguin for the backrow and Penguin Soldier for the front row. It's slow but fairly chainable.
