Not-so-Radiant Arin
The (1) effect of "Belle Gellena Féerique" can only be used once per turn. (1): When this card is Normal Summoned: Reveal the top 5 cards of your Deck. Special Summon any number of Level 1 Monsters among them to your field. You cannot declare an attack the turn you use this effect.
Hi there, RC~~~ It's been a while. So, a couple of things. I'm going to try and remedy my boredom by making a card. Because obviously that's how you take care of boredom around these parts. After taking a look at the new OCG OCG......... .....I decided to try to make a new card with the new grammar so if I messed something up, sue me. I also wanted to make something concerning Level 1s so that Piper or Kinka can have more control and more swarming power. I tried to give it a restriction, but getting out a potential of 3 or more Xyzs in a turn is still pretty insane. Also, the card's name is "Beauty Fairy, Gellena". Just in case someone is uncultured and doesn't know French.
goddamnit names are a pain
Maybe shuffle the deck afterward? To prevent weird kinds of spam. This feels too abusable in too many decks. Literally, reveal 3 Level ones= Cain/Abel Lockdown Not that Cain and Abel are good, though. This could just be me but a chance at Summon 4 monsters seems like a bit much. Maybe restrict it to one level 1 or even 2?
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Ok. First off, I have been running level 1 decks for longer than they had benefits, so I feel qualified to review this pretty accurately. To be quite honest, I have never seen this form of card grammar before, but I am no expert on this. You should ask Zazu. Anyway, I see what you were trying to do with this, and I find it quite unnecessary. Considering that the effect only triggers when the card is normal summoned, the risk of it going off more than once per turn aren't too terribly high. Yes, I suppose you could use double summon, but after the first one is out and (presumably) swarms the field, there isn't much use for another. Semantics aside, I love this effect. It sets you up for Xyz summons, synchro shenanigans (that new level 4 synchro, anybody???) and maybe even some Skull Servant stuff. I have always been a fan of losing your battle phase so as to balance a card, so that just feels like icing on the cake. I would run this in a heartbeat. Strength: 7/10 Design: 9/10 Overall: 8/10 Glad to see you back in RC; another great one, Erin Scarlet Parava.
